I've noticed many of the address errors predate what I imported, but it's still good to fix everything. I've been offline in the desert for a week, working through these is my plan for the next few days.

Oh sorry about that, I went camping in the desert right after I thought I fixed the duplication, so couldn't fix it right away.

I checked with both JOSM and OSMInspector, and neither shows the difference in our two screenshots, so I'm not sure what is broken. In JOSM with fresh data, it looks fine. Am missing something ?

Ah, good catch. That sound like a mixup between the address file and the street one, although both came from the same source. I'm working on the building duplicates, I'm now less trusting of the JOSM conflate plugin since it missed many of these. They're easy to find though.

At least this road is in our fire district. :-) Another conflation issue with short road segments. I'm less trusting now on the results of conflation.

Ah... fixed it. That one is way out of my fire district. :-) I've discovered conflation software doesn't catch issues when there are two roads in the same spot, but have different lengths and names.

Thanks for checking my changesets, sorry if it's a hassle. I plan to keep editing all the data for this area till it's accurate and meets all OSM style guidelines. Sometimes those style guidelines are a vague, but I don't mind learning from my mistakes. Sorry that I do make mistakes...

It took me over a week to clean up mistakes in the TIGER import for my little country from years ago, so I can understand being careful. I'm not really doing a bulk import, nor an automated one. I'm working in little sections at a time mostly, and validating the result, and correcting any issues with old data or the new data. Data correctness is important to us since we use it for emergency response. I think this is basically a dedicated account for importing, although at this point I'm almost all done with this import.

I fixed all the addresses I had added with addr:full. I just read up on key:addr more, thanks for pointing the link. I dropped that from the original reference dataset too, although I'm mostly done importing addresses.

I'm still in the process of importing addresses and building footprints in NW Boulder County. I've discovered some problems with conflating mistakes causing duplicates... I've been deleting the incorrect addresses that already existed in OSM and replacing them with the correct one, but obviously not done yet... The plan is to try to fix it all today.

Oh, interesting. I obviously didn't realize that. It'll be pretty easy to fix that. I'll have to modify my conversion script too.

So when I started editing roads, I read multiple OSM related web pages that said using residential was wrong, roads should be unclassified. Many of these are rural dirt roads, often one lane 4x4 access only. So I thought unclassified or service was the proper highway tag. Another post mentioned that the residential tag was incorrect, an left over from the TIGER import 10 years ago.

Thanks for checking! I worked on ATC software first for NASA Ames, then the FAA. Most of our landing sites are road intersections, or big meadows. These aren't so much "official" sites, as suggestions. Us older fire fighters often just use a suitable location near the scene, but new fire fighters in our district need a little help.

You can bother me all you want! Sorry somebody else had to catch my mistakes.

All fixed now. Thanks for noticing! I'm trying to use the Validation window in JOSM more to catch my own errors.

I thought I moved all the milestones and attached them to a highway. :-( I use my own software to generate maps, they do show up there. Now that I cleaned up all the addresses I uploaded, I'll go revisit my milestone edits.

Unfortunately the abbreviations are in the imported file. I've been fixing them as Validation finds them. I've been mostly focused on adding tags and fixing bad Tiger data in this county. Fixing all the name is the next pass through the data.

Thats how it was in the imported file. I plan to correct the capitalization reasonably soon. I only added the portion in my fire district, so it'll be easy to correct. Whenever I import the rest of the county, I'll fix it that next time.

Good catch. I changed it to amenity=parking, These two trailheads were hard to find and unmarked.

I hadn't tried to upload a polygon before, I'll add the additional tags, as soon as I can figure out how to edit the existing changeset.
