Changeset When Comment

Hi,
Is this data being imported from somewhere? Many of the wetlands that I checked did not match the shape of anything on the available satellite imagery, especially Bing.

Hi,
There are a few problems with this change.
- The natural=wood tag should not be used on park boundaries; it is a landcover tag for the outline of a wooded area.
- You did not 'add a tag back,' you created a new way. You also simply duplicated the geometry of the Park outline for most of it.
- The new woods overlaps existing, much better landcover outlines, some of which is rendered and some is still in progress.
I have removed this incorrect woods (see changeset/75259114).
Let me know if you have any concerns.

Hi,
Where did way/727227415 come from? I see that it's traced from the Virginia Property Lines layer but I can't find any indication that it's not part of the Blue Ridge Pkwy.
Thanks

Hi,
Please don't use the live server for testing anything, even if you intend to revert it later. Especially copying existing data, and super-especially coastline data within relations.
There is a dev server which I will try to find a link for, or you can do offline edits.

Reverted in changeset/74697370.

Hi,
Please be careful. This should not be tagged as a pond, or really anything at all. If anything it looks like a low area in the crop field that sometimes gets wet. It is certainly not standing water.

This should not have included the change of node/5451499824; that was intended to be separate.

Will have to be more careful using Osmose for editing...

That's probably fair.

But it would be nice if you explained to all these mappers why you are deleting their edits. Most will likely never notice their work is gone, and won't know how to check where it went.

Your changeset comments are also rather misleading; you say you're "fixing old-style multipolygons" but really you are just deleting those that have errors.

Thanks for the heads up. 👍

Hi,
Did you actually check this data before removing it?
I started a multi for an in-progress landcover and even added a note to alert other mappers to its intent.

Hi,
Please be careful doing large edits like this. way/426818887 is a boundary, not a track road, which is quite obvious from any imagery layer.
Thanks

Hi,
In this changeset you added multiple buildings that overlap with your own previously added buildings. Please be more careful when editing.

Hi avelex,
Please be careful when mass editing things, especially in JOSM. In this changeset you added `parking:lane:both` tags to hundreds of child nodes. This tag is intended ONLY for the roads it applies to, not the nodes making up the road.
If you could correct these changes that would be great.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Will

Hi,
Why are you adding stops at both the intersection and the location of the stop sign? A router going through the intersection will think it has to stop twice.
