Hi,
Can you point me to the import page for this? I can't seem to find it.
Thanks

Hi,
thanks for making contributions to the map!
If you ever decide to continue mapping, please take steps to make the data nice before uploading to the server, like squaring buildings or drawing them in shapes actually representative of the structure.
Thanks

Hi Shankar,
Welcome to OSM.
So far, almost all of your changes have been duplicates of already existing highways or waterways. Please don't draw data over what's already in the database and upload it.

Hi,
please double-check your work before submitting.
This road is a duplicate of an existing road that is more correct. You are also using hashtags for tracking a project in Nepal; this is South Africa.
Thanks

A while ago I went through the `payments=` tag (https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/search?q=payments) and was changing them all to the correct `payment:*=` tag so they could actually be used by consumers. (In hindsight it was probably on large enough scale that I should have announced it somewhere, but I almost cleared the tag from the database.)
And here I did only chang the value to lowercase in order to agree with all the common `payment:*` keys where even brands are expressed in lowercase.

Hi,
Are you sure this is the correct Swan Cleaners EPA Superfund site? From searching it appears to be in Wall Twp.

Frankly it seems fine to me; both OSRM and GraphHopper on the main site can route past it just fine.
It could be that the access tag added a couple months after the note was open actually solved it.
I'll close the note, hopefully there's no more problems.
Thanks

Hi anjbe,
Can you verify that there are (or were) actual spikes at the exit to the campground (node/3064367385)?
According to note/381519 routers cannot get out of the campground because of this.
Thanks,
Will

Is way/393262651 still needed as a placeholder?

Hi,
Is this an inn, a bar, or a pub? Please check the wiki pages for amenity=bar and amenity=pub and change this to whichever is more correct. Tagging for things is based on what it is, not what it will be displayed as.
See osm.wiki/Tagging_for_the_renderer
Thanks

Pretty sure this was info pulled straight from teh Googles since the street address is incorrect and only found in that result. It's for a different store of the same company.

According to Bing Streetside from 2015, they're lowered without tactile marking. I've updated them as such and hopefully that's correct.

Hi poetixmind, and welcome to OpenStreetMap!
Is there actually a park here, or is it just a commons area for what looks like a private community?
Also, out of curiosity, are you editing the map to use with a game, like Pokemon Go?
Thanks for contributing!

Hi vogelfreier,
The TIGER data was imported years ago to complete the road network in the United States. The `tiger:zip_left` and `tiger:zip_right` tags provide the zip code (`addr:postcode`) for the corresponding side of the street. They're usually accurate and can be used for determining the zip code for addresses, but are 11 years old and sometimes don't correspond correctly. In Durham County and some nearby counties, we have imported all of the addresses anyway, so in this area they're essentially useless. I just remove them with the other TIGER tags when I review the roads.

Translated with Google:
Hallo vogelfreier,

Thanks Frederick for the explanation. I'll go over all aspects of the POIs when I edit in the future.

Great, thanks! I hadn't come across these before and they looked strange. The proposal looks quite useful, actually.

Hi,
there were a few (4) nodes in this changeset on the rails tagged with `Wall=yes`. What I would read as `barrier=wall` is not valid on nodes (although there are over 2,000 used for some reason), and a wall over a rail line would be impassable anyway.
I changed them to `barrier=yes` - see changeset/72790102.
If there is a more appropriate tag please do update them.
Thanks,
Will

Hi Friedrich,
I noticed a couple buildings tagged with `addr2:` and `addr3:`.
I'm not sure if these addresses should go on separate features or just enumerated within the regular `addr:` tag, but as far as I know no consumer will recognize these as addresses.
It seems to be the buildings contained in relation/1060497 (relation/1060497) but I might have missed some.
Thanks,
Will

Hi Mark, thanks for the edit.
Do you have a source for this being a park? On satellite imagery it looks like a section of wooded area, with no infrastructure or sense of being a park area.
Thanks,
Will

Hi Ann,
Are you running the group using #JPMC-July20 ?
If so please check the quality of your mappers' work before having them submit.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Will
