The wiki says that the coastline is updated every few weeks, however I have a coastline edit that is still awaiting an update after 5 weeks!?
osm.org/?lat=-30.87417&lon=153.02411&zoom=17&layers=M
It’d be great if there was a page somewhere that indicated when the last/next update cycle is due to run so I could know if it’s just a matter of waiting, or whether there is something wrong with the edit.

The wiki is wrong (nothing new there…) and it is generally rather less frequent than that - it’s a manual process and is also dependent on trying to find a point in time when the coastline as a whole is not too badly broken.

A method to find out when the last update was is described here. According to that the current coastlines date back to October 29th.

This needs a solution. For the low zoom layers, not so bad, but when zoomed in, these updates need to happen more frequently.
Could the following process work?:
The onus is then on the community to correct the errors - the faster the errors get corrected, the sooner the coastline render gets an update.
