Casas de sucos

Posted by pizzaiolo on 15 January 2015 in English.

No Rio de Janeiro (e talvez noutras cidades do mundo), existem lanchonetes especificamente voltadas para sucos, as chamadas casas de sucos. Me pergunto como seria a melhor forma de marcar no OSM estabelecimentos deste tipo. Talvez amenity=fast_food e cuisine=juice?

Alguém tem alguma ideia a respeito?

In Rio de Janeiro (and perhaps other cities worldwide), there are snack bars specifically focused on juices, known as “casas de sucos” (lit.: juice houses). I wonder what would be the best way to tag such establishments on OSM. Perhaps amenity=fast_food and cuisine=juice?

Anyone has thoughts on this?

There is a (small ?) chain called Shakeaway in the UK and elsewhere selling Milkshakes. These have been tagged in several different ways: amenity=cafe, amenity=fastfood, shop=yes, shop=beverages. So we could do with an answer too. There are close analogies to ice cream places (not exactly food, can consume in or take away).

Thanks for joining in! shop=beverages does sound very close. I’ll likely use that when tagging these places. Cheers.

I dont think it’s quite right, but will do for a start, providing you add some other tag which will enable you to find juice bars. In my case I’ve added cuisine=milkshake as such a start.

shop=beverages reminds me too much of an alcohol shop.

The whole cafe/bar/pub/restaurant/snack bar/fast food is problematic anyway as these mean different things to different people.

At least for drug store / pharmacy we have “dispensing”.

shop=beverages sub tag cuisine=alcohol? :) Here they are usually pubs.

As far as ‘different things to different people’ that will allways be the case. Usually cultural and specific to a region/country/ethnicity.
