I think it might be a good idea to reconsider the changeset. Most of the paths you removed had the "abandoned" key in OSM, which is used to indicate that these paths are no longer in use. Reverting the changes would help keep that information intact.

The railways you deleted were mapped or tagged as railway=abandoned. In my opinion this is correct and should not have been deleted. In the OSM project some users also map these abandoned railroad lines.

You can find some information here:
railway=abandoned

I think your changeset or at least the two big railroad lines should be restored.
