Oh no! This was an assignment for a class project, which involved recording data about the locations and types of trees. The goal was to just add the trees to a local places list, and none of it at all would end up on OSM, but I must have pressed the "edit place on OSM" button instead of the "edit bookmark" one. I don't think the tree numbers are of any importance to anyone but me. And I renamed the park? Yikes... apologies.

Nope, that sounds good! (...gosh, and I thought all those cyclists were flaunting the rules.)

I think it’s a relatively new feature. It works for simple edits on specific types of places – it didn’t have all the options that the online editor did, and I wasn’t 100% confident that the options it was giving were presented correctly. (For example, some of my earlier edits, including this one, put sources in the comments section, because I didn’t know there was a separate sources section, and even if I did, I wouldn’t have any way to access it.) Ultimately I switched with the hopes of adding a place that appears not to be on OSM at all, but I realized after switching that I don’t have enough info yet (independent of other mapping sites) to add it.
