OpenStreetMap
I have done my first edition: a correction with potlach 2 online editor (incredibly easy to use by the way) and I saved it.
It is reported as "ongoing" in history; and I can't see it in current map.
When will it be effective ?
Is there some kind of approval before it is released ?

No approval is required, all saved changes become part of the database immediately. If a changeset is listed as "ongoing", this just means that it has not explicitly been closed - this is normal, it will be closed automatically after a certain amount of time.
However, changes do not appear in the maps instantly because it takes some time (typically minutes to a few hours) for the rendering server to fetch the new data from the database and to update the map tiles.
