Litchfield, Michigan, USA

I am a map enthusiast and over the years, there has been no other Michigan city that has been more mis-mapped than Litchfield, my hometown. So, I corrected the numerous errors, the error-prone "Hawthorn Heights" subdivision, fixed the location of the HCRC railway, and corrected the State Route M-49 curve at Genesee Rd, among the lot. Also, the First Baptist Church there has built a new facility down the road, and that was corrected.

Is this a problem with the Census Burau maps and TIGER?

It may be that, but a lot has changed in Litchfield since 2000. A confusing thing is how the railway was shortened by about 1/2 mile, and the street that ran alongside it is no longer used. But the TIGER maps also show a street that never existed--it goes right through the Thriftway Supermarket.
