the intent is to indicate that there is relevant information in OpenHistoricalMap (OHM) about this entity and give the name that will match in the OHM implementation of Nominatum. it's an experimental tag deliberately placed in an ohm: namespace so as not to collide with normal OSM usage.

what is the purpose of this way? it does not contain the entire park, just a relatively small portion of it.

permission was obtained from original mapper Longhorn256 to move this site to OpenHistoricalMap under a CC0 license.

and also, are you going to fix this one, or shall i? i don't wish to get into anything that looks like an edit war.

i would urge you to use particular restraint in areas that are already well mapped. if you'd checked history you'd have seen that i've been working in the Albany area for years. do you have any thoughts about how to review your work with NYSGIS data up until now to see if there are any more incidents like this one?

There are errors in the NYS GiS data you are using. For example, you re-added a faux Thais Road that i deleted years ago; it was an error in TIGER 2007 and it's still an error today. the NYS GIS data is simply not clean enough to justify armchair mapping. Additionally, in the past the NYS data has not had a clear license statement compatible with OSM requirements. this may have changed, but i have not seen any sign of that.
