Yes, I have come across this recently somewhere else, but is too detailed for me, though I do see the merits of dedicated mapping in that manner.

I haven't considered mapping roads with area:highway so no opinion from me.

It's not really a mistake so I would leave as is unless it bothers you. My preference is to not merge them but others differ.

I think you should read this post when considering merging landuse areas to the centreline of roads:
https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/5352/should-the-edges-of-landuse-or-boundary-areas-share-points-with-streets-that-form-their-borders
The issue was recently raised in the help forum and the reply directed to the above.

The usual method is to not delete the ways but to add access=no or access=private tags to the ways

Hi
can you check the name please as I see Coakers Lane is labeled as Coakers Road on the LPI NSW Basemap as well as others maps.

I prefer to have the lines mapped as they are gazetted. The corridors are outside of the the boundary being mapped and often indicate current or planned infrastructure reserved areas or section that are managed by some entity and mapping the excluded parts is useful information too.
I notice that others like nothing better that too 'tidy up' such bits, but I feel that if you have the geometry in a shapefile or similar then you should enter the boundary into OSM as gazetted. If you are manually adding such data click by click on such a big scale, as I expect much of the earlier info was, then I would think it is not really practical to do so and makes sense to leave the finer details to a latter mapper who has more accurate and complete information and can replace the earlier geometry.
I also feel if someone earlier has added detailed and correct info previously then a later mapper should refrain from deleting it without good reason.
It is mostly in recent years that detailed geometry in the form such as shapefiles is being made available for us to use so that eventually we will end up with a high resolution of the features.
But osm is a collaborative effort by many mappers and my 2c doesn't count for much in such things :)
Keep on mapping.

Can you fix it right the tagging of the opening hours format thanks.
opening_hours=*#Examples

You appear to have deleted part of the gazetted boundary of the state forest that runs closely parallel to the right of Barakula Road. If you zoom in close on the Digiglobe imagery you can see a line following the portion you have deleted - possibly a fence line or powerline that is gazetted to be outside of the forestry boundary.

Hi
please zoom in much closer when doing this type of editing as you have crossing building lines, building connected to part of parkland and two separate buildings joined together. You can what went astray if you zoom in close on this page

The details of what went astray are here:

I reverted OTB Products Pty Ltd changeset due to a busstop being shifted to incorrect location and road being extended incorrectly across school buildings during spammy adding of business details.

Hi
I added highway=service otherwise it will not render.
I think you intended to show that the roads are private access only.
I expect these are the tags to give the result you wanted.
access=no
highway=service
service=driveway

I reverted your edit because you accidentally moved the Toyota Dealership to wrong area and added 2 nodes with different tags for your business. One node was for addr:housenumber 7 and the other addr:housenumber 730. You can view what went astray here http://overpass-api.de/achavi/?changeset=53767076

Reverted Changeset: 53547106

53547106 about 8 years ago

You can view the changesets in the area here
http://simon04.dev.openstreetmap.org/whodidit/?zoom=14&lat=-35.35101&lon=149.22735&layers=BTT

Then select the square that has the changeset and select the [A] for that changeset and you will go to this page
http://nrenner.github.io/achavi/?changeset=53547106
When you click or mouse-over the red lines and the two nodes at the right end you will see the tags used.
Using JOSM, I can revert the changeset if you like and then it will be back as it was earlier instead of drawing it all again.

Hi Peter
normally the whole area of the industrial estate would have the tag landuse=industrial and it has, but each of the buildings in that area would have buidling=industrial instead of a landuse tag.
Tks

Hi Peter, can you correct this mistake thanks.

Hi
just pointing out that the lines you deleted may have been address interpolation lines.
See here: osm.wiki/Addresses
(I didn't have a close look at at this though)
