Hola.

¿Porque igualaste name=alt_name?

Hi.

Why did you ser name=alt_name?

Yo lo entiendo de otra forma, lo que dice el wiki "closed or off: closed at the indicated dates and times (or permanently if no time is given), except at overriding dates and times that follow;"

Hi CapAhab.

The best imagery available for alignment in Uruguay (good precision, 10 cm pixel in urban areas and 32cm pixel in rural areas) in this wms endpoint https://mapas.ide.uy/WMS_Uruguay_IDEuy_Ortofoto_CoberturaNacional

77595862 about 6 years ago

The resolution I refered to is from october 2018.

77595862 about 6 years ago

There are two resources.
1) The rule in http://www.montevideo.gub.uy search for Resolución N° 824/18/1500
2) Go and survey now or trust my word.

We are having a discussion with other collaboratos here changeset/77609767 (unrelated changeset, but i think its the same problem, taking old sources to make changes).

Maybe you (or not only you but everyone of us) sholud check that the age of the source is newer than the date of the last changeset of the element.

you could drive wrong direction, but if get caught by traffic agents you get a fine, or if you have a crash you get full liability.

i'm a local mapper.

76858208 about 6 years ago

Not for now. It's a pity.

There is no local wiki for this, the "global" wiki says building is is for tagging each bulding, and place=city_block to tag city blocks.

The reason the other user is tagging as building is for rendering them in openstreetmap.org tiles.

In Uruguay, no one can assume that ALL drivers respect the rules, as a lot or most drivers do, but it is naive to assume that all drivers do, and should not be used for doing changes in OSM.

But sure it could be used for a tool to warn about some ways for survey.

77609767 about 6 years ago

I assume that all of us collaborate for having better free geodata.

But there is a problem with getting gps traces from several sources, as a lot of drivers (car, motorbikes and/or bikes) do not respect the rules and their traces can/will show a path that it is illegal to take.

Hi CapAhab.

I strongly disagree that these sources can be used for this kind of changes. Also Mapillary with images older than a few weeks or days. There have been lots of changes of directonality by the local authorities since 2016 where Kaart videos or imagery was taken.

Please revert this and similar changes.

Regards,
M.

Hi Sarathv.

There have been lots of change in directionality by the local authorities.

Please do not take Mapillary as a good source for this kind of changes, because only if the imagery is weeks or sometime days old would display what the real world is.

Hi kaartense.

This kind of errors should be fixed in another way.

In the canonical form of address, if the way is "Ruta *" shouldn't have addr:housenumber but "addr:kilometer" or someting like that.

Futher more, addr:street shoud be the name of the way in the point of access to the property, so it makes no sense that the nodes are so far away from the way, like most of them in this changeset.

Maybe is better to discuss this issues as a larger problem of this import project in the forum or mailing list.

Regards,
M.

Sutre. For urban zones I use this imagery from IDE.uy
URL wms:https://mapas.ide.uy/geoserver-raster/ortofotos/ows?FORMAT=image/png&TRANSPARENT=TRUE&VERSION=1.1.1&SERVICE=WMS&REQUEST=GetMap&LAYERS=ortofoto_urbana&STYLES=&SRS={https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:proj}&WIDTH={width}&HEIGHT={height}&BBOX={bbox}

they are the best available imagery, from 2018 aprox., released a couple of months ago. 10cm pixel, clear and good orthophotos.

Hi Silberner See.

I disagree with you mapping of buildings.
Each building should me mapped individually, or not mapped at all.

Besides this, it seems you are using very old imagery..

Hola. ¿Porqué te parecio mejor ponerlo como neighbourhood que, como estaba antes, suburb?
