That shouldn't read "British English" up there, sorry. What I wanted to write, it seems like many (including British) people have a "natural feeling" what a scooter is - either one or the other type of vehicle - and are surprised to hear that this is different for other people.

We're still discussing... Would be nice to collect some more opinions on the discussion page in the Wiki - feel free to participate!

British English has this problem as well. The Oxford Dictionary defines 'scooter' like a moped or childrens kick-scooter, while Merriam-Webster names only kick-scooter and its electric variant

you're using the term 'e_scooter' here - what type of vehicle does it refer to? 'Scooter' is an ambiguous term, it can be used for kick-scooters as well as mopeds. We're still looking for some reasonable terms for keys here: osm.wiki/Proposed_features/ElectricScooters

We already have mtb:scale and mtb:scale:imba, so I think 'mtb:scale:cai' might be a better choice to keep tags consistent.

Sorry, but that not how it works - you can't insert a new way. You need to reuse the streets that are already mapped.

I think you're looking for a route relation:
osm.wiki/Relation:route

You uploaded a GPX track directly as a way in OSM - this is not how OSM works. You can upload Tracks (see the extra function on osm.org) and use this to draw objects, or create a route relation out of existing highways.

du verwendest hier "modified:barrier" als Tag - das gibt es bisher nicht. Laut deiner Note klingt das nach einem klassischen Fall von "disused:" - die Barriere ist noch da, aber wird nicht mehr als solche benutzt.

It looks like something went wrong here. All the nodes have several foreign tags that shouldn't appear in OSM.
The changeset is missing a link to the documentation and discussion of this import as well.

what does "elc" mean? This tag is not used in other places.

If these numbers are useful for some OSM user, they are fine to add.

The keys should be changed to something like "ref" or "ref:XYZ" - where XYZ is an identification of who gives the reference number.

jogging = medium
patins = yes
piso = alcatrao
skate = yes
trotinetes = yes

In OSM we have to use a well-defined set of tags to allow all the software tools to understand the data and e.g. show it on maps.
Also, our database in case sensitive, all keys have to be in lower case (with
very few exceptions). Please have a look to the OSM Wiki to find out which tags are in use.
