Hi,
this node got many foreign tags - could you translate them to common OSM tags? e.g. collection_times, ref:*, object:street...

It is clearly against the organised editing guidelines. They explicitly forbid hiding behind many new accounts and not revealing their occupation.

Hi,
yes, the data may be of a legitimate business, but these entries are made by some SEO company they hired. There are about ~ 10 of these nodes each day, across the world, all with the same tagging, same spelling mistakes. Creating new user accounts for this without stating their SEO identity is clearly in violation of the OSM rules.

If it were mistakes by innocent users, I'd be happy to correct them - but these nodes are clear cases of misuse of OSM.

Hi,
welcome to OSM.
You used some tags like "LIMITE" in your edits.
This might be a good description of the object, but is not usable in OSM - no software can understand it. Only tags that are described in the wiki or are available in the presets in the editor should be used.

Would you mind checking these tags and change them to documented ones? Let us (e.g. on the forums) know if you need help!

Hi,
what's the meaning of "on_the_list:wikidata"? All cases I checked are just the regular wikidata entries of the objects and should have a plain 'wikidata' tag.

The main OSM is not a good place to "test some points". Please use the development API instead.
And take your time reading our Import Guidelines

Hi,
welcome to OSM!
You added many tags that are not used by anybody else.
In OSM we have to use a well-defined set of tags to allow all the software tools to understand the data and e.g. show it on maps.
Please use only keys that are documented in the Wiki or are available as presets in your editor.
Thanks!

Example Keys:

Leaver Handle
Push/Pull
Door Handle

Hallo,

Hi,
please don't mix different POI on the same node, even if they are the same physical objects. All these prefixed tags will not be accessible to any tool or map that understands the regular tags.

When I edited it, the two values looked identical to me... maybe not enough coffee? I added them back.
Sorry!

Hi,
you added 'GOV_NO' tag to these pharamacies - what is its meaning?

132893638 almost 3 years ago

Hi,
welcome to OSM!
In OSM we have to use a well-defined set of tags to allow all the software tools to understand the data and e.g. show it on maps.
Please make sure that you only use tags that are documented in the Wiki or are available as presets in your editor.

E.g. these tags are not used in any other place and should be replaced by a common and documented tag, e.g. 'species':

lichen 4
lichen-6
lichen_3
Lichen 2

And also note:
- the species of a tree is not its 'name'. It should be tagged as 'species'.
- don't use natural=wood for single trees. These are natural=tree

The data you added here doesn't have any common tag, and partially overlaps with roads that are already mapped properly. Please check and fix these mistakes.
