I have been living in Bathurst, NSW, Australia since 2005, but have also lived in Armidale, Sydney, Orange, Parkes and Cowra. I first joined OpenStreetMap in September 2008 to fix a typo that I found, but since buying a Garmin eTrex Vista HCx in late December 2008 I have started making more extensive edits, starting with the streets around my house, then other parts of Bathurst and the associated villages. I initially used Potlatch (v1) to edit uploaded GPX traces, but over time started using JOSM, and now use JOSM for the majority of edits.
