For me I use JOSM most of the time, but I'm talking about the new comers who don't have a previous experience in map editing, and they are not good in English. they will find a lot of difficulties in using JOSM because it's for advanced mappers, and difficulties with web editors because it doesn't supports Arabic!!!

I have the same issue here, I live in new city, and half of still under construction. but you can see the streets in Google which is not exist till now!!!

Yes, but this is only the first step. my goal is to fill all the nodes with name:ar depending on wikipedia tag.

Searching for "خرائط" doesn't return any results! and even for "خريطة" it will return wrong result.
BTW, Google doesn't scan old indexed pages daily. It will take long time to scan it again.

Good catch! in Diary it has the Arabic tags:
xml:lang="ar" lang="ar"
@matata/diary/8912

Maybe that's the reason why Google can't see the Arabic pages.

That what I do exactly now. I've translated more than 70% of OSM Website into Arabic. and I think I'll finish soon.

I had the same idea. I tried to exctract the name of cities from wikipedia and write it in .osm file. I did that by bash script which will read wikipedia tag in node name then it search for the arabic interwiki article to know the name equivalent in arabic, then it write it in arabic.
Now I have two problems, first it's buggy, cause it use bash! second I don't know how to upload it after finishing!!!
