Hi, welcome to HOT. Good to have you and thanks for your time.

Before you proceed with mapping, please watch these 2 interesting and educational videos about mapping buildings. It only takes a few minutes of your time but will enhance the quality of your mappings.

Hi, welcome to HOT. Thanks for your time helping us. I see you are mapping roads and farmland. The instructions of project 6979 say only to map buildings. Please stick to these, doing not will result in more work for validators and will delay the finishing of the project. Thanks so much for your cooperation.

Good job. Only thing is a few buildings need to be squared.

Hi, welcome to HOT OSM.

I reviewed this changeset you mapped. The buildings are quite good as to their location. But please pay attention to the squaring of the corners: after drawing the outline and tagging as a building, use the 'Q' key in the iD web editor.<br>

You can find more info about this in this interesting video:

Thanks, and happy mapping.

Hi, i am looking through your mappings and i notice you map rocks and trees as buildings.

You also do not tag them (building=yes).

I am not sure why this is happening, but it lowers the quality of the map.

Please reread the project instructions. Thanks.

Hi Thomas, welcome to HOTOSM.

I noticed you mapped 2 waterways.

There are unfortunately a few issues here:
* Waterways have a stream direction, and that is not correct here.
* This project 11457 is buildings only

Please stick to mapping buildings only. Wait till you have more experience; then you can start mapping roads and rivers.

Thanks and regards,

Martien, validator.

Hi, you asked for a review.

I see you deleted a building. It was only visible as a white blot. It often helps to switch to another imagery to get a clearer view of the area. Eg here with maxar the outline of the building can be clearly seen and mapped. But be sure to adjust the offset with the default imagery Mapbox before doing that.

I also see you retraced a road. The project instructions state to only map buildings. So roads should be left alone, unless they are crossing buildings.

Thanks for mapping and regards from Martien

Hi Camila, i reviewed a few of your changesets for wich you requested a review.

Most of the buildings in this project have square 90 degrees corners. I noticed you regularly map buildings with non square corners. With iD Editor, after having drawn the outline and tagged the shape as a building, use the 'Q' key of your keyboard or right click and then select "square" to "square" the corners of the building.

Also i see you save your work regularly after mapping only one building. This is quite time consuming, just save after mapping 5 to 10 buildings. Only when you map buildings on the edge of a task you should save more often, to avoid possible conflicts with mappers in these neighbouring tasks.

Thanks and please keep mapping.

Best regards from Martien

I noticed that you mapped buildings on top of existing ones. This is probably due to an ID Editor feature that fools many other mappers too.

I quote from the instructions:
¨Be aware that iD editor hides OSM features from view to enhance performance. There is a blue notice that appears at the bottom of iD Editor indicating whether OSM features are being hidden. Zoom in until no features are hidden before editing. This will ensure you are not duplicating existing mapping.¨

So please be cautious of this in your mappings.

Regards and please keep mapping.

Hi Oslec, validating task https://tasks.hotosm.org/project/7384?task=2582 i see a bunch of buildings mapped by you. You are an experienced mapper, are you shure these are buildings? Imho they are just pieces of rock?
