Thanks for being cordial during discussion! I made an OSM forum post here: https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/mount-mckinley-or-denali/127411

Feel free to chip in; and have a great day!

OSM Carto renders name= over official_name= since generally official names are a lot longer, an example being Carto shows Deutschland for Germany instead of Bundesrepublik Deutschland; for most purposes it's a lot smoother.

Generally, changes can take a fair bit to render on the map.

Gulf of Mexico/America still shows as Mexico because that is in the name= tag, and this was agreed upon via consensus, see here: osm.wiki/Gulf_of_Mexico

I do not know whether Denali's name= should be put as Mount McKinley or kept as Denali; that might need more consideration from the rest of the community. I personally think it should be kept as Denali (with official_name being Mount McKinley) because that's what most people call it, however i'm unsure how the greater OSM community feels.

Wouldn't official_name=Mount McKinley be more correct? loc_name= is for a local name, and i don't live in Alaska so i can't say for sure, but i'm pretty sure most Alaskans aren't using Mount McKinley; so i think official_name= would fit more as that is the government's name for the mountain. On the Gulf of Mexico, the US government name is tagged as "official_name:en-US=Gulf of America" which could be done here although i doubt "en-US" would be needed since Denali is only within the US.

I've done it again. Go Map!! automatically puts old changeset comments when you're making one, so even though i thought i cleared it, i guess i didn't. Oops. This isn't for Parkview Elementary in Pueblo, Co. This changeset added the missing Spaghetti Factory location.

Ah, didnt know that was bad practice. I'll fix it as soon as possible. Thanks for letting me know!

Hello Robmcq, I'm just wondering, why did you swap the leisure=golf_course tag from the Hilo Municipal Golf Course to just area=yes? You didn't specify why in your changeset comment, and it feels like removing important information, so i'd like to know why you did this. Thanks for reading.
