There are several "Quiet Lanes" round here in Lancashire. Generally, they are (perhaps due to how they often link Much Nowhere with Much Snoring) low traffic roads. The Highway Code suggests that all traffic should expect to share the road. Sadly, 'vulnerable' road users seem to be the only people who are aware of this.
