Several important public land areas in the Inland Northwest are entirely missing from OSM:
- Idaho Panhandle National Forest (jointly administered Coeur d’Alene, St. Joe, and Kaniksu National Forests)
- The portion of Colville National Forest east of the Columbia River
- Salmo-Priest Wilderness
All of these are available from forest service data.
Missing state park boundaries include:
- Mount Spokane State Park (Washington)
- Priest Lake State Park (Idaho)
- Priest Lake State Forest (Idaho; exists only as a point)

Nine years later, most of these have been added (some by me). Priest Lake State Park and Priest Lake State Forest are still in the same condition (missing and a single point, respectively).
