Hello Sailor Steve.

You changed a number of tertiary roads to unclassified, but the roads had an "official_ref" beginning "C". Was this intentional?
For example:-
Green Lane, C180 - way/434766916
Northside Lane, C127 - way/370715597
Southwood Farm Lane, C180 - way/262895962

Hello.

You added a roundabout on Wellington Road, between the pelican crossing and the Elms Road miniroundabout. There is no roundabout there (https://wokingham.cyclestreets.net/location/99648/)

Thanks - I will fix it shortly

Hello.

I noticed that you were also fixing Bracknell! I'm mostly interested in the cycling routes there, including the new National Cycle Network route 422.

I got used to PotLatch, so didn't bother learning about newer editors.

The "aerial photography" means Bing usually, sometimes the newer stuff including Digital Globe, so nothing you won't have seen already.

Hello Mike.

Thanks for checking with me. That's fine - please go ahead.

Hello Mike.
Thanks for the message.
The full name is shown on a street name sign, like you'd find on a normal residential street, so I thought I ought to record it on OSM in case people are looking out for the sign with the name. However, I believe the name of the road, as opposed to the name on the sign, is Wells Lane.

Hello.
In this changeset, you've set Rose Kiln Lane/A33 to cycleway=track, which is an on-road cycleway separated by a kerb or other barrier, and then removed the bicycle access from the path and converted the path from highway=cycleway to highway=footway. When I was last here, the cycleway was actually a shared use path, hence why it was recorded as highway=cycleway. A cyclist would expect to be able to cycle very quickly along a cycle track or cycle superhighway - a shared use path tends to reduce speeds significantly as pedestrians and dogs have to be avoided, and journey planning apps take this into account.

Hello mattgirling.

In this changeset, you changed way/36736458/history from motor_vehicle=no to motor_vehicle=designated. This seems odd for a road with description=Bus Lane and service=busway. This makes this road "A preferred or designated route for" all motor vehicles (access=*#access-designated). Did you "destination"?

The project leaflet, http://www.wokingham.gov.uk/parking-road-works-and-transport/road-works-and-road-closures/major-road-projects-document-library/?assetdet91f252ff-550d-4cfa-a838-92ef2cb5f83c=446237&categoryesctl91f252ff-550d-4cfa-a838-92ef2cb5f83c=6906, says that the existing shared use paths will be retained as well as the cycle lanes added.

Hello again.

This link will be better: http://www.wokingham.gov.uk/parking-road-works-and-transport/road-works-and-road-closures/a329-cycleway/
As you can see, the council refers to the paths as "cycleways".

"Current project status

From 2014 to 2016 we completed phases 1, 2 and 3, which involved creating a cycleway between the Three Tuns and just beyond Winnersh Crossroads. This part of the carriageway has been reorganised to make better use of the space available. By removing the unused space in-between the 2 lanes, we have been able to provide on carriageway cycle lanes.

As part of the process, we have also widened and resurfaced the footways to allow us to convert them into dual purpose footways/cycleways that are now wide enough to be safely shared by pedestrians and less confident cyclists."

Hello.
I've regularly cycled along these cycle paths. There are short sections, around the traffic lights, e.g. way/443861704, where cyclists are instructed to dismount, but the rest are shared use paths marked with the blue circular sign. One of the goals of the "Wokingham Cycleway" section of the NCN422 was to widen the existing shared use cycle paths to 3 metres and add 1.5 metre wide cycle lanes as well - the latter for more confident cyclists. Therefore there are long stretches with both cycle path and cycle lane.

The plans are here: https://web.archive.org/web/20170819153630/http://www.wokingham.gov.uk/parking-road-works-and-transport/road-works-and-road-closures/major-road-projects-document-library/?categoryesctl91f252ff-550d-4cfa-a838-92ef2cb5f83c=6906&p=2 (click "download" for each) and you will clearly see that the pavements are shared use paths.

Hello WhosThisThen.
In this changeset, you've changed the sections of cycle path along Reading Road in Winnersh to be footways with the comment "many sidewalks and pedestrian road crossings were incorrectly listed as cycle paths."
They are clearly marked with the blue cycle path signs so are cycleways. They are also generally wide, and are listed on the Wokingham Borough Council's websites as cycleways (e.g. http://www.myjourneywokingham.com/discover-wokingham/cycling/cycling-on-the-a329-corridor/). They are also part of National Cycle Network 422.

Could you revert your change please?

Hello.
You changed a few miniroundabouts (highway=mini_roundabout#Mini-roundabouts) to full roundabouts (junction=roundabout). Are you sure that they are not just miniroundabouts (i.e ones without a kerb or barrier?)
If so, you missed out the details of maxspeed, surface, and lit - I added these for a couple. Could you add them to the rest, please?

Hello Alexander Mytton-Bayley

In this changeset, you renamed "Aldershot Military Town" to "Aldershot Town" and changed the landuse from military to residential. Could you reverse this change, please? The land IS military. OpenStreetMap is used for other purposes in addition to Pokemon Go

Hello Alexander Mytton-Bayley

In this changeset, you removed the landuse=military tag from way/307647087
Can you confirm that the Aldershot and District Military Byelaws (https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/39456/aldershot_district_military_lands.pdf) have been revoked for this land?

Jon

way/543387565 is a track used as a public bridleway. You have changed it from highway=track to highway=footway

54335680 about 8 years ago

Again with this path - way/175392066
Certainly at the southern end it was too narrow to be a track
