With the size of the changeset, I knew I'd forget something. The two new localities were pulled from GNIS.

I accidentally hit Enter in the upload dialog instead of apostrophe (not for the first time). Sources are Bing and Esri World Imagery.

Mapbox was erroneously cited as the second source due to JOSM auto-fill. The correct second source was Esri World Imagery (Clarity) Beta.

Sarcasm isn't productive. If it's closed, tag it as disused.

The ZIP codes (not included in the city dataset) were pulled from TIGER.

Obviously, I meant "untag", not "delete". The signals were moved to before the intersection in my previous changeset.

The population change was pulled from the 2020 U.S. Census.

Basically, given the lack of available data about a collector system in this city, the criterion used was based on street construction, namely that all of the tagged tertiaries except for Hester (which was added for network completeness and due to its bridge over Deep Creek) have painted medians, whereas the rest of the "residential" streets don't.

This construction project appears to be the one described in https://www.cityofpalmdale.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=362, which started in June and is scheduled to finish this month. According to the press release, the road is completely closed for the duration. I'm going to add the construction=trunk tag since that is missing.

These are private mailboxes for specific addresses. In this and other nearby neighborhoods, they just happen to build clusters of these mailboxes at a few different spots around the subdivision. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Letter_box#United_States_2 has a description. These are not public drop-off spots for mail, so they're not amenity=post_box.
