are you sure about this? no aerial imagery shows any building, as this straddles the riverbanks across the river and in the Clarity imagery looks like a pile-up of logs, and in the bing imagery you used is just an overhanging tree.

please only add things that really exist to the map, and as this spot is not reachable by auto, it is hard to believe it is as described.

please do not add any personal information to osm, as you have in the name field.

also, the name should be an actual name and not a description. Here there should be no name.

this applies to your nearby additions as well, `My house path'.

and also, the value you have given for elevation is wrong, as it should be a number in metres above sea level if known.

three metres height seems far too small for this type of house.

the shape of the house is poor as well; aerial imagery shows it should be a rectangle, the ESRI Clarity layer is best for this despite it being about a decade old now.

also, the ele field is wrong, a note field is to be used for communicating with other mappers rather than a description, and there is nothing to describe what this is in a machine-readable category.

if your source was not google, you should still not link to them in any way to avoid confusion - especially not in a source tag that implies legal accountability, and if it was, then i am afraid this item cannot be added to osm as is.

oba, your change lost the #5646 info, would this be something useful for a ref tagging, or is it pointless for osm?

In a number of recent edits over the US, you have used maps.me to create lots of unnamed highway rest areas in implausible locations.

Notes you have opened for some of these hint they are mostly addresses and others have no useful info or imply they are personal bookmarks of no use to other mappers or to osm.

Do you understand what a rest area is, or is it badly translated into french by maps.me, as i see it often misused in many countries?

I believe these changesets should be reverted, as the only useful info is contained in notes positioned at the nodes, unless some other mapper wants to convert each rest_area node into an address node and add the info from the associated note (not something i can do from the commandline unlike a revert, and which can be done from the notes contents without polluting the map with bogus rest areas).

please use address nodes for marking addresses and only use rest areas for mapping highway (such as interstate) features.

i think if you were to try an overpass-turbo query, you will in fact find examples of private driveways leading to homes. in rural ontario i found a mapping island of 94 private driveways.

granted, it is not common, and i did not search a much larger area, but the mapper in that area added details not seen in this area, including private garages and houses and their addresses, which should also be the goal here.

what makes most of this area of the map not a blank page is imported data, that may well be inaccurate, canvec data may include misclassified private driveways - i know that is very common with tiger data in the us, and it is a long and painstaking process to correct that data. just as it is tempting to import all the missing building outlines to fill out this area.

the on-the-ground rule takes priority; the available satellite imageries are contributed for osm use by the companies, as osm does not have the resources to licence anything better, and are intended as an aid to mappers who know the ground truth, as well as to enable armchair mappers to add to the map where local contributors are absent. in general, pascal notices changesets with an abnormal amount of deletions and attempts to get an explanation (that often never comes) in order to prevent legitimate map data from being deleted, giving hints as how to properly treat the data as here where it was misclassified.

as i see at https://nrenner.github.io/achavi/?changeset=70400459 you have also deleted address interpolation lines. please do not do this, as this means information is being lost, unless you replace that general guideline with actual existing address info on every building (which have not been mapped yet, but again, do not assume the lack of buildings is a standard for canada, as there is a project in place to add every canadian building to the map by year 2020).
