| 133144172 | about 1 year ago | Hi, Interested that this is tagged as a Shia mosque while most Muslim refugees in the UK are Sunni. Do you know if it's specially provided for Shia refugees, or is it open access to anyone on the site? Thanks, eteb3 |
| 47182269 | about 1 year ago | Hi I was just wondering if you remember why you tagged the footpath under Sounding Bridge as “former cycleway”? It’s still marked on OS maps as a traffic free route, and signs at the bridge itself have “cyclists dismount “ - so arguably still a cycle way? (I just about managed without dismounting fwiw!) But if there’s been some official change then that makes sense If you can remember from 7 years ago… Happy mapping |
| 133895572 | about 1 year ago | Hi, Thanks for tagging the building. Is it actually called "Industrial", or did you mean that as a description? Thanks, eteb3 |
| 156928252 | about 1 year ago | I see this very question has been hashed over on the listserv. Here's Rob vindicating my position ;-) https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-gb/2022-January/028432.html |
| 156928252 | about 1 year ago | Thanks for the explanation. Yes, talk-gb is an email list - see here for some discussions on this topic:
(More heat than light in some cases!) Happy to accept that addr:city is for the post town. Checking Rob's pages here

| 156928252 | about 1 year ago | Is addr:city reserved for the RM post town, then? I seem to remember a long discussion in the Talk-GB list saying otherwise. In any case, Castor as “suburb” of Peterborough seems not quite right to me: it looks, feels, and considered itself to be be separate village - and it’s a “parished area” administratively |
| 155910492 | over 1 year ago | I do, where can I post it? |

I'm wondering whether to replace the two-sides-of-a-square route with the designated bridleway that I actually walked. Any further info? I can't see your trace on the map, but I'm inexpert (and maybe you didn't upload it, and maybe you only walked the fp marked TBC?) |
| 152517283 | over 1 year ago | Ta, have retagged |
| 152517283 | over 1 year ago | Hi Robert, Just checking: are you sure this path should be tagged as designated for cyclists? I've had a brief look and I feel I'd dismount to get to the hotel entrance. But if you know it is, fine. Cheers, eteb3 |
| 147332194 | over 1 year ago | Hi, you can ignore this: I've found how to go back to the reverted changeset, and I can understand why there was a problem. Thanks. eteb3 |
| 147332194 | over 1 year ago | Hi, can I ask why you removed the religious landuse here? Does the place not exist at all, or did you think it was better not added as landuse? Thanks. eteb3 |
| 127590296 | over 1 year ago | Oh yes, NLS! I remember seeing them mentioned on the GB list. Thank you. eteb3 |
| 96469787 | over 1 year ago | Hi Minh Nguyen I'm on a bit of a foray to discover how people are using the place_of_worship=musalla tag. It seems you added one here: node/8262966505 Do you remember why you chose to call the place =musalla rather than =mosque? My wiki discussion is here:
A collection of use cases here:
Thoughts welcome! Thanks, eteb3 |
| 127590296 | over 1 year ago | Thanks for all your replies on other changesets. One more on this one: we have a conflict between the elevation given for the trig point (558) versus the peak (550). Do you know how to settle it? Is there an open source we can use? |
| 42223396 | over 1 year ago | PS usernames for the wiki must start with a capital letter, if I recall correctly. So I'm Eteb3 there. |
| 42223396 | over 1 year ago | Good to know more about @Rtfn. To join the discussion you'll need a login for the OSM wiki. Instructions here:
I look forward to hearing more from him and you! |
| 42223396 | over 1 year ago | Hello adiatmad, Certainly don't mind you joining! the more the merrier. I've started a discussion on the wiki page: osm.wiki/Talk:Tag:place_of_worship%3Dmusalla I'm trying to work out if the Malay/Indonesian use of =musalla is a local quirk, or something we should generalise internationally. Would you like to add to the discussion at the wiki page? Especially, a bit more detail on your local knowledge would be very helpful. |
| 42223396 | over 1 year ago | Salam EbūJeɛfer I'm interested in how people are using the 'place_of_worship=musalla' tag. Can I ask why you decided to change the tag on Mushollah Sunan Bonang from =mosque to =musalla? What do you see as the difference between a masjid and a musalla? Thank you, eteb3 |
| 102281915 | over 1 year ago | Hi osmlecenc Hope you're enjoying life off the map! I see you've edited two mosques here, and tagged the one you added (Sidi Lachen) as place_of_woship=musalla. I'm interested in how people are using this tag: could you quickly let me know how you decided this should be tagged musalla, rather than 'mosque'? Thanks! eteb3 |
