That's my point, you aren't supposed to map things that don't exist, regardless of the future date that it might exist. Once they get funding and start making trails, then you can map them and add the `construction` tag until they're finished.

Hi,

Sorry for the late comment, but none of these trails exist yet, why have you mapped them?

Hi,

Thanks for adding your business to the map! I've removed the description, OSM doesn't do "SEO" type descriptions, and I've changed the office hours and phone number to the correct format.

Okay, so that's not enough to have a location in OSM, it needs to be a physical building that belongs to you in order to put an address on the map, otherwise people will be confused

118515881 almost 4 years ago

Your physical location is in a post office?

118515881 almost 4 years ago

Hi Ross,

Openstreetmap is meant to be a map of places that are "on the ground", i.e. exist physically. Because your business is not physically at this address, unfortunately, we need to remove it.

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to map this. Could you explain why you deleted the tags off the existing park area and put them on a new node?

Hi,

Thanks for contributing to OSM!

I do need to point out that you incorrectly set `layer=-1` on way/1041462322. Please fix this by removing the layer tag, thanks!

This is very clearly a residential house, why did you tag it as office=company?

Hi,

This appears to be a driveway based off imagery, did you accidentally remove the `service=driveway` tag from it?

You seem to have accidentally deleted a road in this changeset. Please go back and fix it, thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for the additions to OSM, however I do need to point out that "sidewalk" in OSM specifically means sidewalks alongside a road (see osm.wiki/Sidewalks). The path you mapped here shouldn't have the `footway=sidewalk` tag on it.

Hi,

Thank you for the speed limit additions, however, you changed the `oneway` tag to `no` on way/113102353. was that intentional?

Hi,

Thanks for contributing to OSM!

Your edits are mostly right, however near the intersections the middle lane stops being for both lanes and starts being a left turn lane for one direction only. You need to split the way where those switches happen and tag them appropriately. For example, this way should change to `lanes:backward=3`/`lanes_forward=2` way/279669041#map=19/42.72196/-84.42681

Also, if you could, it would be great to add the `turn:lanes` tags for those so routers can give better direction.

Thanks again for your contributions!

Hi,

I've removed the description and operator tags from this node. OpenStreetMap is different than Google Maps, the description is not meant for advertising or SEO purposes, and the operator field is for a parent company name, not the name of the owner of the company.

Thanks!

You're right, that parking lot is outdated. Esri (not Clarity) has the current parking lot image, you can retrace it using that if you want.

Unfortunately I have yet to find a public data source with a suitable license. The local government has a website but the license is revocable so we can't use it.

Hi,

You seem to have accidentally moved the sidewalk to an incorrect place. Please go back and fix this.

Hello,

Thank you for your contribution, however please make sure your changeset comments accurately reflect the changes you made, or split up your changeset into multiple so it's easier to comment.

Also, in the parking lot there are several ways that should be tagged as `service=parking_aisle`. Please fix these so the map is as accurate as possible.
