Santa Mariana, Paraná, Brazil

Posted by eduardomacan on 25 December 2008 in English.

Yesterday I begun learning how to edit a map in openstreetmap by creating a map of my hometown, Santa Mariana, in the state of Paraná, Brazil. It´s very incomplete, since I´m still learning, but I think it´s a work of much social relevance, since there´s no digital map of many small towns like mine available anywhere.

I hope I can buy better equipment to make my work easier, I´m currently using potlatch and a portable car navigator with no tracking features.

Location: Santa Mariana, Região Geográfica Imediata de Cornélio Procópio-Bandeirantes, Região Geográfica Intermediária de Londrina, Paraná, South Region, 86350-000, Brazil

I am glad to see more people helping out, Brazil is a big 'place', and it will take a lot of work getting every place on the map. I am mostly mapping in Espírito Santo.

What a coincidence! I'm in Vitória right now! Cheers!
