Saint Pierre and Miquelo

Posted by djo0012 on 29 April 2009 in English.

I was looking at the map from distance and I found that Saint Pierre and Miquelo (
osm.org/browse/node/249399410 )is considered as a country which is false AFAIK ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Pierre_and_Miquelon ) but thing is I don't know what to say either since it is in reality a Territorial Collectivity, so I thought it might be considered as a state, but I'm not sure about it.

It's not a state. As you said, it is a territorial collectivity which is similar to a french region but with a special status and small autonomy. Either set place=region or "place=territorial collectivity" which is the reality (but will not be recognized by renderers). BTW, the tag name is supposed to be the local name. Therefore, name should be the name:fr content.
