It's Snowing Outside

Posted by coyotama on 7 February 2014 in English.

A pretty thick snow and frost is falling this Winter, which is somewhat unusual where I live, in northwestern Texas. I won’t be able to walk around and journal the area and points of interest therein, but the snow probably won’t last very long.

Hmm. The first things I should journal are nearby parks and key businesses, such as nearby restaurants and other key places and borders, then I can work on building outlines. I’ll start at my house and work my way outward. I want to contribute, and this is something I can do.

Yay for ham cartography!

Individual House Buildings

Posted by coyotama on 7 February 2014 in English.

After carefully scanning the map near my home, it seems it’s OK to add individual house buildings as well are highly-detailed buildings of individual stores and restaurants. This should be fun.

If nothing else, I know my neighborhood backwards and forwards, so I can add a lot of detail. Since individual buildings are OK, I can begin adding highly detailed maps of the area I live in, and some areas peripheral to that.
