Coyo

Coyo is an Animal Rights and Youth Rights Activist, Digital Rights Activist, and Enemy of the State.

Summary

Coyo is a furry, kinkster, political activist, anarchist, entrepreneur and hobbyist, active in largely, but not exclusively, in libertarian/anarcho-capitalist communities, and an advocate for youth suffrage (voting rights). He was previously active in the Pirate, Libertarian, Tea and Green parties both internationally and in the United States.

Interests

His interests include, but are not limited to, biochemistry, pharmacology, genetic engineering, protein folding, classical computer programming languages such as fortran, pascal, smalltalk and common lisp, hydroponic and aquaponic horticulture, aquaculture, especially of tilapia and shrimp (prawns), permaculture and 7-layer forest agriculture, high-density intentional community architecture and structure design, alternative internetwork telecommunications architecture and component design, distributed intercloud architecture and design, peer-to-peer and friend-to-friend overlay network design, virology and immunology, sexual and asexual reproductive science and design, experimental nuclear engineering and reactor architecture, wireless power transmission, polygeneration nuclear power plant architecture and design, petroleum synthesis reactor architecture and design, district heating and cooling, absorption refrigeration, municipal and building subsystem architecture and engineering, plasma gasification waste disposal, membrane bioreactor wastewater treatment, constructed marsh wastewater treatment, industrial desalination and distillery architecture and design, plasma thrusters, jet engines, gas turbine power plants, mesh networking, municipal internetwork construction and design, domestic espionage circumvention, mitigation and countermeasures, steam engine design and construction, firearm manufacture and design, home pharmaceutics and chemical synthesis, vitreous masonry and weather control.

Hobbies

He also enjoys composing music, donating to charities, contributing meaningfully to culture and society in general, and studying his country’s history, especially the Civil War, the Prohibition Era and the Revolution. He descends directly from the revolutionaries, and his mother is a member of the Daughters of the Revolution. He is a current and active Mensa member and volunteers at a local animal shelter and a local gay teen shelter.

Scientific and Academic Anarchy

In general, Coyo is a strong advocate and proponent of the decentralization and distribution of infrastructure and governmental authority, decreasing the longevity of agricultural produce by relying less on preservatives, and relying more on the restoration of wilderness and advances in agricultural science to meet human needs.

Aquaculture and hydroponics, although imperfect at the time of writing (Summer of 2014), will improve and become more environmentally sustainable, producing large quantities of delicious food at a high capacity and high density, reducing the need for agricultural land use.

Rewilding and Ecological Restoration

He is a strong proponent of the rewilding and enrichment of ecosystems, displaying strong patriotism and stewardship for one’s country at the expense of the State (there is a difference!).

State Versus Country

He does not believe in his federal government, believing it to be a perversion of his country’s ideals. He believes in individual sovereignty and individual responsibility, and does not accept the authority, legitimacy or supposition of competence of any government larger than that of Texas. He believes in individual rights to private property, in the protection of the privacy and security of one’s household, the right and privilege to practice openly in one’s beliefs, no matter how wrong they are, and the inherent illegitimacy of taxation without meaningful representation. He believes in the American Dream, in the investment in one’s country and homeland, in the rewilding and restoration of the Wild West, and the secession of the Republic of Texas from the Union. He likes pissing people off for the fun of it.

Defense Trumps Anarchy

Although he does not believe in the legitimacy of 99% of all government institutions and organizations, in the event of an emergency, his priorities are to protect and ensure the safety of his people, his country, his life and the lives of his family. Forays into experimental societal models is a privilege and luxury afforded only in peacetime.

True Freedom Means Defense Not Security

He believes that the answer to ensuring the freedom and safety of the People is to give them guns, education, marketable trade skills, and the ability to survive in emergencies and to defend one’s home and the homes of one’s neighbors in the event of an invasion, foreign or domestic.

Survivalism as a Way of Life

Survivalism isn’t just a hobby, it is a way of life. Coyo identifies with the animal motif of the coyote, which symbolizes survival and adaptability. Due to this and other reasons, it is almost a religious imperative to prepare for likely disasters and military invasions or raids. Shit happens, and all you can do, and be expected to do, is prepare. The prepper community is mostly nice, and fascinating. Survivalism often involves a lot of clever science and engineering to achieve the goals of sustainable living in a crisis.

Right to Bear Arms

He believes in the 2nd Amendment, that the right to bear arms and form a militia outweighs anything other than the freedoms of speech and the press, and that “to bear arms and form a militia” means military-grade firearms, including mines, grenades, fighter jets, automatic assault rifles and other standard defense materiel. Having weaker military fare than the greatest militaries in the world defeats the purpose.

The whole point of the 2nd Amendment was to defend against government abuses as the final check and balance to government branches overstepping their authority and abusing their citizens. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The American Way

Restrictions on the legal ability to own and bear firearms and on the freedom of speech, gathering, the press, and the freedom from interception and violation of mail and parcels (including email!) are inherently Un-American and equivalent to Treason and War Crimes.
