Hi, it looks like you gave the house the name "House". Normally houses don't have this tag. Is this a LINZ data import error, or what happened here?

Hey Kyle, nice edit to George Street. As a local it definitely counts as a living street, though there is no signage to match the access=destination tag, cars are free to drive through it if they really want to. Did you add this tag to discourage routing engines from going through it? (It's probably good if that's the reason.)

Okay. I'm not going to go to the trouble of changing my old features to the new tags or participating in the mailing list discussion (you're free to do both, of course).

What tags should I use next time for an outdoor drinking fountain like the one in this photo? https://www.drinkingwaterfountains.co.uk/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Drinking-Water-Fountain.jpg

Hi Kyle! I'm trying to map a local mall too and I had a couple of questions. How did you get such a detailed map of the inside of the building and the shapes of its rooms? Also, is it really okay to use barrier=wall for the edge of the rooms?

Thanks, that's really helpful!! And based on my knowledge of the area, I believe you do have the correct sports mapped for those areas. Yay!

Hello conradoos! How do you know that the patches in this field are for hammer throw and discus throw? Is there some kind of identifying mark or standard layout that these sports use?

Hi Adam! Would you still like me to review this changeset? If you would, just let me know as a reply on this discussion.

Hi Lukas! Thanks for contributing to OpenStreetMap for the first time.

I've edited your change to replace this building with a landuse for apartments, and then map the individual buildings. You can see my changeset here: changeset/110430900

The key "building" is used for physical buildings. For the relationship between several buildings being part of the same apartment complex, the type "landuse=residential" should be used. You can see the wiki pages for these tags here: osm.wiki/Buildings landuse=residential#Apartment_Complexes

Hope this helps, and have a nice day!

The source here should read local knowledge, but I forgot to change it.

Ok, thanks for the info about that. I'm trying to map all the bus stops and routes by foot (only done route 10 so far) so I should be able to fix anything else when I get to it.

How does the import tool deal with things that already exist in the same spot, like the "opposite Dolphin Street" one? Is there a distance within which it treats it as the same object? Some clarification on that would be great since you seem to be handling a lot of the LINZ imports.

Can the ORC's route data be imported to OpenStreetMap relations? For route 10 I followed this guide and it works in the OsmAnd app perfectly. osm.wiki/Public_transport#Service_routes

Can the ORC's timetable data be imported at all?

Hi Kyle, I don't think all of this is correct. For example, here, there's now a duplicate of the bus stop that's next to it, but yours has the incorrect name. I have been here in person and there is only 1 named bus stop here, and it's "Bank Street, opposite Dolphin Street". node/8748365730

Is it possible to merge the data together? Otherwise, how do we proceed from this?
