| 141181380 | over 2 years ago | Hi alizair, please take a look at the wiki to see some guidance on mapping sidewalks:
| 140611994 | over 2 years ago | You don't need to include images when you are editing based on a survey or local knowledge, however it can be helpful to use as a reference when you are editing. When you are uploading your changesets, you can add a "source" tag which helps other mappers understand how you knew to make the edit (aerial imagery, local knowledge, survey, etc...) |
| 139412374 | over 2 years ago | You can press 'q' with an object selected to square the corners in iD :)
| 139421843 | over 2 years ago | Hi, please don't use Waze data to contribute to OSM. The data is copyright and not suitable for use in OSM. Please read the top section on the wiki article here: osm.wiki/Waze
| 139724141 | over 2 years ago | Hi, please use the full expanded form for street names and do not use abbreviations.
| 139753836 | over 2 years ago | Welcome to OSM!
| 140470388 | over 2 years ago | If a road is closed for a short period of time, it's generally not mapped on OSM. You can read about how to properly map roads under construction here: highway=construction
| 140470641 | over 2 years ago | You can add a note to the map to help other mappers know that a change needs to be made (on the main osm.org page you can right click to add a note)
| 140611994 | over 2 years ago | Welcome to OSM! Please note that you can't use Google Maps or Google Streetview as a source for your edits. You can read about it on the wiki here:
However, if you know this to be the case because you have surveyed the location, this edit is acceptable. If you want to use street-level imagery in the future, iD has Bing's street view source as well as a few others in the "map data" section.

| 140696030 | over 2 years ago | You can add access=customers to the way in order to specify that it is only for users of the car wash. Please read about it on the wiki here: access=customers
| 140739357 | over 2 years ago | You can press "q" with an object selected to square its corners :)
| 140860814 | over 2 years ago | Please don't use abbreviated street names. The name of the street should include the entire expanded version.
| 140780349 | over 2 years ago | Hi,
| 140973950 | over 2 years ago | Hi,
| 140957513 | over 2 years ago | Adding incorrect access tags damages the map and makes pedestrian routing worse. Please refer to the wiki to see how to tag separate sidewalks correctly: sidewalk=*#Separately_mapped_sidewalks |
| 140957513 | over 2 years ago | Where is the requirement that sidewalks are "present at streetside?" How far away do you consider acceptable for sidewalks? |
| 140957513 | over 2 years ago | Hi, please don't add foot=no unless it is illegal to walk on the road AND no sidewalk is present. You can instead add an appropriate sidewalk tag to the road (in this case it would be sidewalk:right=separate) |
| 140822334 | over 2 years ago | Welcome to OSM! You can press "Q" in iD to square your buildings. Happy mapping! |
| 140607871 | over 2 years ago | Hi! In the iD editor, you can press the "q" key to square corners when you are mapping.
| 140296998 | over 2 years ago | Hi, please stop modifying and removing amenity=school areas, it is not correct. If you explain what you are trying to do, I would be happy to help you find the correct way to make your change.
