| 173454795 | 2 months ago | Hi R_Lewis, Croeso i OSM - I do understand your frustration about people accessing (your?) land without permission. You did the right thing by adding the access=private tag, however it's still important that they are seen as driveways! It takes time for data consumers (like satnavs) to receive OSM data, it's not instant. Please see the Wiki for more information

| 168892481 | 3 months ago | Hi there, Yes I'm trying to map the latter here - the reason why I haven't made it a MP yet is that the boundaries are not completely clear from that first link. I agree that the boundaries need looking at. Thanks for the other two links. As for the name, Port Talbot is a very English-speaking area and the current consensus is that the dominant language is in the name field. (I disagree with this personally but that is what it is). |
| 172530815 | 3 months ago | Hi Mike, croeso i OSM! I just want to let you know you don't need to fill out both the 'name' and the 'house name' address field for named houses Only filling out the address field is fine in these cases! Cofion

| 171751800 | 3 months ago | Hi there, What's your source for this please? I live here and I've never heard it being referred to in English. |
| 170203098 | 4 months ago | Hi Nullxiety, welcome to OSM OpenStreetMap is for mapping real world features, not fictional creations. It’s a database with data consumers. There is no island here on imagery, and sandy beaches are hardly likely off the coast of Antarctica! If you want to create your own fictional maps, I suggest checking out OpenGeoFiction Cofion,

| 170663251 | 4 months ago | Helo, diolch! Dwi ddim yn credu ein bod yn gallu defnyddio’r map yma gan Gyngor Gwynedd am ei fod yn defnyddio data hawlfreintiedig gan yr Arolwg Ordnans - mae’n rhaid i ddata fod yn gydnaws â thrwydded OpenStreetMap (sef yr ODbL). Mae data o dan Drwydded Llywodraeth Agored 3.0 (OGL 3.0) yn iawn er enghraifft. |
| 170663251 | 4 months ago | Helo EryrEryri, diolch am olygu! Oes ffynhonnell ar gyfer yr enwau Cymraeg plis? "Hawl Tramwy Cyhoeddus" yw "Public Right of Way" yn ôl y Llywodraeth: https://www.llyw.cymru/bydtermcymru/search?search_api_fulltext=Public+Right+of+Way Cofion

| 159961475 | 4 months ago | Hi TansyR, Could I please ask what streetlevel imagery you used as your source? The Bing Streetside in this area doesn't cover all of the streets and isn't very clear here. Cofion,

| 170400734 | 4 months ago | Hi beza208, Your comment says you added buildings, but it seems you've only added power poles here. Could you please ensure your changeset comments match what you're doing? Diolch

| 168559244 | 4 months ago | I've reinstated the path way/1421997748 Feel free to edit it further if it's inaccurate |
| 168559244 | 4 months ago | Hi Richard - thanks for letting me know (and for not reverting the whole thing), i'll see to it now Thank you very much! |
| 48294807 | 4 months ago | Hi Männedorf, I’m going to second what Phil said above here - if there is no signed Welsh name on the ground (or given to you with permission to use), then there shouldn’t be one mapped. Using a translation you’ve come up with yourself isn’t correct data - sometimes placenames and street names aren’t direct translations of each other. Cofion,

| 166975730 | 4 months ago | Hi there AAB2024, Sorry to comment 2 months later, but please don't add "Unnamed Road" to the addr:street tag. If the street is not named, then the field should be left blank, otherwise you're adding false data. Diolch,

| 169973568 | 5 months ago | Hi Stephan, welcome to OSM Could you please write more detailed changeset comments instead of "."? This helps others around you know what you've been working on! This page on the wiki may be able to help you: osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments You can also make more than a couple of changes at a time, in case that's something you were worried about as well. Diolch,

| 169073423 | 5 months ago | That won’t get anybody anywhere. If you have knowledge of the trail, you could use it by tagging the trail appropriately, to your knowledge, and then data consumers should eventually take and process these tags - everybody benefits. Adding more data is a good thing! Access tags can be added to show that the trail isn’t public, and as 0235 said above there are more tags for trail conditions. A lot of things on OSM start out with almost no detailed data to them with the intent of others adding more in over time |
| 169073423 | 5 months ago | You can add these tags yourself based on your knowledge of the track. That’s what OSM is all about. |
| 169072389 | 5 months ago | > “you are now partially responsible for any injuries and SAR callouts that may happen here” REMOVING valid data makes it so much more difficult for emergency services, especially in areas like this with a lot of tree cover. Not having the trail mapped could lead responders down the wrong path in a situation where time is paramount, and potentially leave them underprepared. This point does not stand up in any way. |
| 165066980 | 5 months ago | Hi there, These trees are much better represented as nodes, as they are not forested areas. You can see on Bing these are individual trees. Please see:

| 168617510 | 6 months ago | Hi there Supergooper, croeso i OSM Are you sure this is a bar? In the editor, you can click on the little "i" icon and it will give you a description of the tag and take you to the wiki where you can find more information Cofion gorau
