Geoglyph of a Man with a Beard

Posted by c tito young on 13 March 2021 in English. Last updated on 14 March 2021.

Geoglyph of a man with a beard (50m wide x 75m long) is of what appears to be a man wearing a cape and poncho traveling east to west. He has and starkly appears to trudge forward. He is drawn from the waist up, but there is suggestions that he is sitting on an animal, but not confirmed.
In front of the man is some kind of etchings, which are evident but indistinguishable at the resolution from this aerial scans. He is drawn on moderately steep land, in a valley between two peaks. It is unclear what he is doing or where he is going.

Couple of thoughts:

I just keep wondering if what these people did, was to try to talk to the Gods. Then those Gods were in fact nothing more than modern day satellites that would see their giant geoglyph art closing the circle why they created this work in the first place.

How is it, that in some thousands and thousands of lines and geoglyphs, of which I’ve now I can contest that I’ve only seen a fraction, and trace, that not once a perfect 90 degree geometry showed up. This is quite opposite of anything the Egyptians, Greeks or even Aztecs had created. Stars? Mountain peaks, locations of trees would have been their only means of creating those lines? But if those stars, mountain peaks or trees would have been those means, why is it that more times than not, closed triangular shapes are so similar?

Lastly.. the people they chosen to etch on faces of rocks… Having to look at any of them, sort of tells a story.. Many face west towards the nearby ocean, while oriented north to south. This makes me wonder if whether or not even more would appear, say upside-down, and I am not even finding many of those.
