Hi! Thanks for all the details you've been adding!

In reply to your questions, Bing is not always the best imagery to use. In our neck of the world I generally find the Esri World Imagery (Clarity) Beta layer to be the best-aligned, but that's not true everywhere. Sometimes you can use the "OpenStreetMap GPS traces" overlay to check, but it's not helpful everywhere.

As for your footpaths, the generally look fine to me. This one that runs through a building looks a little odd. Unless there's a commonly-used walkway through the building I probably wouldn't map it like that. way/804339312

Feel free to message me if you have more questions!

Um do these streets really not have names? That seems highly unlikely. Unless you can back up this change, I'm going to re-add the names. Remember that the map you edit is the map everyone in the world sees.

Hey! Thanks for contributing to OSM. One note about your first changeset: The "Name" field is meant to be used for the actual name of something, like a business name or street name. Descriptive text such as "Storage Shed" belongs in a different field. Unless, of course, this building really is named "Storage Shed!"

Hi! Welcome to OSM and thanks for contributing! Just one small note on your first changeset: You added a couple of small interior roads to this park and tagged them as "unclassified." The terminology in OSM is a little unclear, but these are probably better tagged as "service" roads.

Hi! Welcome to OSM and thanks for contributing. I have one note on your edits: Since most roads are not one-way, it's not necessary to explicitly tag them as such. It doesn't do any harm, but it's also an extra step that isn't really needed.

Is there really an ATM in someone's house? That seems unlikely...

Hi! Welcome to Openstreetmap, and thanks for contributing! A quick piece of feedback for you: Make sure that you don't map the same object twice. For example, you have two different sidewalks crossing over Carlton here, when there should only be one: osm.org/edit?editor=id&way=791895850#map=19/42.99187/-85.63554

Thanks, this edit looks good! I'd definitely rather ride a "bike path" than a "bile path."

Sure! I'll send you a message through OSM. That'll be more convenient than discussing it here in the changeset comments.

Hey, I noticed these edits you made, and I'm curious about some parts of them. You added a section of trail running along Greenwood Rd, Cedar Valley Rd, and Shanley Rd, marked "paved." Does the NCT exist separately from the road here, or do travelers walk on the shoulder? If it's the shoulder, then adding a separate way for the trail like you've done isn't really appropriate.

If there is a separate path for the trail, then those parts of the trail should be added to the NCT relation. Are you familiar with relations in OpenStreetMap?

Nice work, thanks! If my sidewalk feedback was a little fuzzy, here's an example of some well-mapped sidewalks you could look at for guidance: osm.org/edit#map=19/42.68926/-84.28298

Welcome to OSM! Your changes look good. Thanks for contributing! If you're looking for something else to add, it looks like the boundaries of the school grounds could use some improvement, and there are features like playground areas, footpaths, parking, and a driveway that could be added.

Thanks again!

Hi! Thanks for contributing to OSM! Since you requested feedback, I thought I'd pass along a few areas for improvement:

When a sidewalk intersects a road (like it does with Wescott Court) the two ways should be joined with a single node. You've tagged the sidewalk as being in a tunnel under the road, which, while not impossible, seems unlikely!

Also, you tagged a parking lot near the park as "parking aisle." That set of tags is for roads that go through a parking lot. The parking lot itself should be traced as an area and then tagged as a parking lot.

Please reach out if you have any questions!
