It's a work in progress that makes me lose my will to live, so I won't do it all in one evening.

That's what they call them on Time Team, you can change it, if you like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pit-house

It's not an official tagging scheme, but I figured that man_made would be the best solution

site_type is a deprecated key for archaeological sites: site_type=*
That's all I have to say.

Alles klar, da waren nur noch einige Strassen mit route=Cloppenburger radtour getaggt, also ist das jetzt alles aufgeraeumt.

I'm not actually sure what the deal is. It's closed alright, but the movie posters are still inside and the name is still on it. See mapillary from today.

Turns out it's not a name, it's a type of mill.

124446065 almost 3 years ago

Are you sure I mapped this? There is nothing about the name on the BWO map.

I presume the names for the standing stones are taken from one of the heritage maps, but I think they denote a rough location rather than representing a real name for the standing stone. If anything, "standing stone" should probably be part of the name, as it would be used in literature about them. Something like "The Pencraig Hill standing stone is such a height and dates probably to such a time".

The name "Standingstone Farm" on the standing stone itself is a bit strange.

I see what you mean. there were tracks on Esri, but maybe they were made by ESB when they put in the power poles...

Hi Brian, can you check your use of species:wikidata? It should be a Q followed by a number, not a word.

I don't know anything about a mechanical edit - there is no bot, but the replacement was approved in this proposal: osm.wiki/Proposed_features/Key:archaeological_site

No, the Parade was widened for parading soldiers and then got the name. I don't know the year. Some of those streets are in that awful movie "Lock up your daughters", one of the worst movies ever made.

Look, I can't please everyone. I was asked to mark the tags on the wiki as deprecated which I and others have done. We've created new pages for the new tags, so as to have the documented.
I'm not doing any more now in that regard.

All the wiki pages in all the languages I could find have been adjusted to the new key. I can't be expected to chase down users globally.
The OSMweekly comes in several languages, and it's up to anyone to follow it or not.

True, the combination of pharmacy and deli is a bit strange. I can't remember that location now, to be honest.

129834958 about 3 years ago

I'll stop so; I got better things to do anyway and I didn't enjoy this at all. However, I don't quite see the point of deprecating keys, when nothing is done about it on the map.

The proposal process went on for over 6 weeks, was mentioned on osmweekly and it's all documented on the wiki.

I'm uploading them individually in JOSM; I don't know how to separate them even further.
