Wenn du keine Redundanz magst, dann kannst du vermutlich 90% aller description Tags in die Tonne treten. Es verdeutlicht meist einfach auf zweiter Schiene nochmal was gemeint ist. Jeder hier versteht, was ein "Altkleidercontainer" ist. Wir tagggen (oft) auch add:city an Adressnodes, obwohl diese Info völlig redundant auch in der boundary-Relation hinterlegt ist. Außerdem kannst du ruhig auch die Arbeit deiner Mitmapper etwas würdigen.

HIer ebenso: Ja, bei node/2961351833 ist "name Altkleider-Container" eher sehr unwahrscheinlich als echter Name. Bitte lösche es aber doch nich, sondern wandle es in "description" um. Danke auch im Namen der Mapper, die sowas extra anfügen.

Übrigens: auch oneway=no ist eigentlich implizit - dennoch finde ich es z.B. sehr nützlich zu taggen, wenn in einem Gebiet fast alle bis auch eine Straße oneway=yes sind.

wieso hast du bei node/1721330624/history "Grünschnitt annahme" als Name gelöscht? Ja, vielleicht sollte es kein Name sondern eher eine description sein, aber einfach löschen entfernt Information. Mit dem Name (und den sonstigen von dir gelöschten Tags) ist es klar, dass dort NUR Grünschnitt abgegeben werden kann.

Was ist die Quelle für die anderen Änderungen? BItte gib das an. Hast du nur auf bing und in die osm-Daten geschaut, oder kennst du die Orte?

algorithm: okay, you mentioned "offline". So you did extract all nodes with a place tag from "mapbox QA-tiles" and then look up manually (pressing ctrl+C and so one) each name? Then you looked at the wikidata result and verified that it is the correct city (and not a equally named county or other city) and added the tag to the object? And now you are doing a batch upload of all that?

yes, if you would add them manually (e.g. while editing that place node anyway) no one would ask. The thing is: errors happen with automated edits. More eyes spot possible errors better than one person only. You may not have thought of all possible cases which are existing in the data. Automated edits touch many objects, which were hand-edited before - we want to do the best possible to not accidentally destroy other people's work, don't we?

Let me cite the code of conduct: "use of find-and-replace functionality using a standard editor such as JOSM or finding using services such as Overpass API and changing without reviewing cases individually;"

Precision: I doubt that. That would not explain several objects having a loss of precision. One more http://osm.mapki.com/history/node.php?id=284249395 Yes, that loss may be acceptable, but this should be discussed and the cause found.

I would have many more questions (input list of objects, verifying that you found the right wikidata object, what about other osm objects which have been tagged with the same wikidata ID) about your algorithm. But that discussion should happen before your edit...

Dank dir für die Bearbeitung! Beim Restaurant node/4197421292 ist der Namenstippfehler ja echt schwer zu sehen. Ich wunderte mich einige Zeit lang, was du geändert hast... Kann man eigentlich bei mapsme auch Kommentare beim Speichern eingeben?

Zu dem Café node/4453356890 : Einmal der Name reicht. Wieso nochmal als angeblich deutscher Name nochmal? Das ist doch der gleiche und dass ein Café in Deutschland einen vom Standardnamen abweichenden deutschen Namen hätte, fände ich sehr merkwürdig.

Der Schlüssel "building" gibt an dass es ein Gebäude ist. In deinem Fall gibt er zusätzlich an, welche Art Gebäude es ist. Das ist nicht soo wichtig. "school" als Gebäudetyp passt ja sogar auch recht gut. Ändere es einfach ab, indem du mit dem Web-Editor (iD heißt er überigens) die Tags direkt bearbeitest. Dann kannst du auch building=kindergarten setzen. Siehe unten in osm.wiki/DE:Attribut .

Ja, zusätzlich solltest du amenity=kindergarten setzen, denn das gibt an, dass es aktuell ein Kindergarten (die Funktion) ist. Beispielsweise könnte ein Kindergarten auch in einem Kirchengebäude oder Baracke zu Hause sein.

greecemapper: kannst du den Bug bitte den JOSM-Entwicklern melden, falls er es nicht schon ist? Das wäre sehr nützlich!
