I made this viz. It really made me think about the amount of influence the casual editor has in OSM. Sometimes I feel bad that I don’t have as much time as I’d like to have to contribute.

However, after seeing this, I know all contributions are valued - no matter how small and no matter how occasional.

Keep it up community.

Contributions; There is lots that can be done from satellite views. Some make mechanical additions from open sources.

These are all valuable and may be large in volume.

But the contributions made by the person on the ground may be small in volume and impact on the map… but some of these cannot be done any other way! Those are very valuable - the cost of sending a person to some far away place they don’t know to map features would be very large indeed. And as they don’t know it they will probably miss things.

So even a small contribution maybe very valuable.
