about 1 month ago | The section of the Devil's Path from Prediger road to the Overlook Trail is part of the Overlook Turnpike Primitive Bicycle Corridor so should be bicycle=yes. I have changed it back. Otherwise good work on fixing bike access tags. I have seen and corrected a number of bike=yes on informal paths in wilderness areas myself.
about 2 months ago | you have 12 address nodes from this import stacked on top of each other one is node/8446177291 they are even number addresses from 850-872 on Oliveria Rd, Big Indian, 12410
about 2 months ago | way way/1122842861 is incomplete it looks like you were trying to draw an inner natural=wood but the way is a non closed area and not added to any relation
about 2 months ago | Hi Abellao it looks like the 'natural= ridge' way/1039703708 you added in this changeset is on the side of Vly mountain. A ridge should have the land drop away on both sides. Not quite sure what you were trying to map here but it is not a ridge and needs to be edited or deleted.
11 months ago | thanks for catching that. I know better must of typed it wrong by mistake and then kept using the recently used tag menu in josm without thinking about it.
over 1 year ago | I like to see everything too even abandoned not usable tracks but some of the dual tagging on unused ways is tagging for the renderer and doesn't best describe the situation on the ground. I use OSMAND which shows abandoned tracks very lightly in the default osmand map style though not in most of the other preinstalled styles but it is possible to create and share custom map styles that render things in different ways. looks like maybe you could create a custom layer with paid version of caltopo that might be able to do something similar. There was a discussion recently in a Catskills hiving group about low quality trails appearing on Alltrails which seems to render all unofficial trails the same. Ideally every app would have a toggle to show disused and abandoned trails but most unfortunately don't.
| 153007038 | over 1 year ago | the ways I tagged as abandoned are almost completely washed out and not useful to most people. here is a pic of Way: 1290305051 https://imgur.com/a/XBMSg3w do you have any reason to tag this as highway= path i don't think that describes the condition very well.
