almost 3 years ago | That makes sense. Thanks for the insights @ZeLonewolf and @SomeoneElse.
almost 3 years ago | While I do personally think the data added is of questionable utility, I agree with andrebacon2 that it doesn't make sense to require going through the import process if edits are being done by hand (meaning, each change is being checked by a human.) Isn't the line between import and non-import that some edits are being made without individual human review?
almost 3 years ago | What's your source for this data? Are you sure this is correct?
about 3 years ago | These roads had their name according to osm.wiki/Utah/Naming_Conventions. The name:full tag likely contains what you are looking for. Both street signage and locals referring to these roads use only the number and suffix, and omit the directional prefix.
| 129089312 | about 3 years ago | Main Street was tagged according to osm.wiki/Utah/Naming_Conventions -

about 3 years ago | Oh, sorry for the third separate comment. But it looks like I'm wrong - I thought you had changed the imported address format, but it looks like the other way around - my import happened to be done right after your change.
about 3 years ago | BTW, I didn't change your edits in any way. I hope my words don't come off as rude. I think the best address format is definitely debatable...
about 3 years ago | Hey! Regarding your change to the address format here, I agree that it's kind of wonky - Is the house number 1234 East and street 567 North, or should the number just be 1234? When importing addresses here, I did my best to follow the established guidelines laid out here: osm.wiki/Utah/Naming_Conventions#Conventions If you have any suggestions or feedback on the format of future imports (or changes that need to be made to previously imported data) I'd love to hear them! And thanks for your contributions!
about 3 years ago | Wow, I had no idea the "tree row" feature existed. Nice!!
about 3 years ago | Also clean up some excessive nodes along straight boundary ways
about 3 years ago | To make it consistent with tagging for the national chain, The iD editor wants to put name=Smith's, branch=Marketplace - I accepted that suggestion not noticing your recent update until now. I reverted my change back to the way you had it. I know there's something wonky going on between the two Logan Smith's right? One is "marketplace" and one is just Smith's or something like that?
over 3 years ago | Just out of curiosity, what does lidar gps mean? Are you using some kind of aerial survey depth data? Very cool if so!!
over 3 years ago | Sorry for the huge changeset bbox, it looks like by touching the Snake River relation it's included the entire thing.
over 3 years ago | Are you adding these all by hand!? That's a crazy amount of detail, nice job either way!
over 3 years ago | Kind of a funny coincidence we both mapped this within a couple days of each other. After however many years of inactivity up there
over 3 years ago | I don't think I would call the bleachers here a building. I'm not aware of any underground space below them, but I could be wrong. Possibly building=grandstand would be more appropriate if so? Although these don't have a roof over them.
over 3 years ago | Gotcha. I guess I had assumed that unclassified was more of an "unknown/untagged" tag but I'm remembering now that there already is an actual unknown for roadways. So I'll leave it.
over 3 years ago | Hyrum's 300 S seems to me like a residential or tertiary road like any other, is it OK if I change it to that? Unless there's something I'm not getting.
over 3 years ago | Nice, I didn't know this could be done!
almost 4 years ago | ... designated exclusively for either foot or bike traffic
