Hi danbelair,

Thank you so much for your recent additions to the map!

Just a couple of notes:

You added swimming pools as ponds. The iD editor will allow you to add pools (leisure=pool) if you search for it.

leisure=swimming_pool

It's generally considered good practice to limit the mapping of private yards to just the larger details such as pools, sheds and garages... you can read more here: osm.wiki/Limitations_on_mapping_private_information

Hi bambi25661,

Please be more careful with the placement and shapes of the features you are adding to OSM.

I've left a couple of comments on various changes you've made in the past weeks because of similar issues.

In this case, you've placed this church adjacent to where it actually is, and you have marked the building as an odd shape. Previously, you have added a park on the wrong side of the road, and in another case, you added features as a completely incorrect shape so that they were intersecting buildings and roads.

In all. this means that someone will have to come through and fix (or even remove) a lot of your additions.

If you are having trouble using the editors or accessing imagery, please feel free to reply and I'll do what I can to help you out.

Some of the stuff you deleted here still appears to exist.

Please use the changeset comment to accurately describe what you are doing.

The park you added here doesn't appear to match the imagery at all - I have adjusted it to include the park rather than the building next to it.

Hi!
Based on your description and the available imagery, it looks like you placed this park on the wrong side of Hartley Street?

Hi Casey,
Are you sure you've got this in the right place? Looks like a fairly new residential building and I can't find any reference to a Hut Road park in this area.

Hi ilikepizza123321,

You seem to be adding a lot of features that are already on the map.

OSM typically works off the concept of the concept of one feature, one OSM element: osm.wiki/One_feature,_one_OSM_element

For example, you've added Circle Park as a node when it was already mapped as an area.

Me again,

A couple of things I noticed in this changeset - you had all the track roads and service roads marked as footpaths - this is obviously not the best way to map these features.

Some of the tracks you added run through water and other features, they mostly just need refinement/redoing to make them more accurate (in addition to fixing the tags)

You added all the airport buildings as houses. I think you can imagine why this is wrong.

You can square features by pressing "q" while you have them selected. This can help you make buildings more accurate.

I've had a go at cleaning a lot of this up. Please feel free to reach out if you require further assistance.

Hi jazenkaiser,

Welcome to OSM.

In this changeset you added an unnamed park in the middle of the Belair Mansion building... not sure what the intention is here?

Hi Edward,

Please don't miss Woodpeck's comment, but just so you're aware, I've removed and redrawn the two different parts of this park as one.

The areas you created were really inaccurate. One covered more houses than actual green space.

Woodpeck - I made revisions here before I saw your comment. Please feel free to revert what I've done (or let me know to revert) if you feel it's incorrect.

Hello,

natural=grassland implies that a location is unmaintained natural grassland. You've used this in several locations that are clearly maintained or mixed-use, so that tag is not correct.

Tags such as landuse=grass or landcover=grass may be more correct in a lot of the places you've used the natural=grassland tagging.

Hi siddhesh@mapbox,

I have changed this from a park to a playground (leisure=playground) as it looks like a more appropriate tag for this kind of feature.

I have also removed the name as it was a description, not an actual name of this place.

In this changeset you moved La Guira Bar & Restaurant across the road, this appears to be incorrect.

You also created two park nodes inside Hetzel Field - this feature is already on the map as a park.

I have corrected and removed the changes you made in this changeset as required.

Hi,

This feature was already on the map as an area (which is generally considered better for parks) here: way/407944120

Hi,
I've changed this parks name from all capital letters to title case ("WATER TOWER PARK"→"Water Tower Park")

Hi, I've changed these to amenity=bicycle_rental instead of leisure=park

Hi Ethan,
Are you able to provide more information on what "The fortres" is? You currently have it marked as a park.

118139491 almost 4 years ago

I have attempted to clean the park up a bit as I haven't received a response to the previous message here. Please feel free to reach out if you have any comments or require further assistance.

Hi Manmeet123,
You've added a lot of little parks inside of the larger park. Not sure what you're trying to show here?
Your paths are also intersecting and overlapping themselves in several sections.
Do you need some help cleaning this up?

Welcome to OSM.
Please do not add fictional features to the map, they will be found and removed.
