Hi Adiatma,

I'm not experienced with Atlas-checks so I appreciate your expertise.

I had a look at the building:part area and there was a very tiny intersection with the building area. I believe this is what might have triggered the detection in this case?

I have refined and adjusted it, so we should be all good now.

Hi Anisa,
Is it possible your software or query is detecting the building:part key as a stand alone building?

105385806 over 4 years ago

Hi Anisa,
Thanks for your contributions around Ourimbah. I noticed you deleted the building:part area representing the two story section of Ourimbah RSL - this wasn't a duplicate way.

Thanks for the reply!

Maybe highway=construction + construction=(road type) would be a good stand-in while it's being worked on?

highway=construction

"This tag is used together with construction=* for any type of highway, including roads, tracks and paths, currently under construction and impassable by the traffic it is intended for."

Hi!
You've totally removed the highway tagging on Evergreen Drive. Does it still exist in some form?

Hiya Brandy Buttons,

Welcome to OSM and thanks so much for your recent contribution.

Keep in mind that the name= key should be used for actual names of things rather than descriptions. Other tags can be used to describe an element in detail (such as how you also added surface=dirt).

Please feel free to reach out if you need any help! Happy mapping :)

Hi nmac85,
You've mapped all the parking lots as building=yes in this location. Was that intentional?
Generally parking lots are tagged as amenity=parking in addition to other tags that define their properties.
amenity=parking

Hi ElderColdRamen,

Welcome to OSM!

In this changeset, you added a park over six houses. It totally covered four and cut through the middle of two others.

On OSM, we define parks in a particular way, you can read more here: leisure=park

If you were trying to add something in particular, but you're not quite sure how to do it, please feel free to reach out.

I have removed the park in question.

Hi Savannahh,

Welcome to OSM!

Please keep in mind that OpenStreetMap is public, and that your changes are visible to everyone. With this in mind, you shouldn't add personal details such as who owns a particular house.

Also, the name tag should be reserved for actual names rather than descriptions. Other features can be described using the correct tagging.

Make sure you check out the OSM wiki for more information.

Hi m1sel,

In this changeset you have removed Oregon Middle School and replaced it with 4 parks.

What are you trying to do here? The school's website and facebook pages indicate that it still exists and is active at this location.

Hi marc__marc,

They do operate a lifeguard patrol out of here, but in Australia these organisations are often much more than just a lifeguard office - they're kind of similar to a sports club.

In the case of South Narrabeen, they offer swimming lessons, run beach/ocean sport competitions, have a venue for hire, and a restaurant.

I'm not sure of the exact hours that they currently run patrols as they are variable.

Hi Arthur,

Welcome to OSM!

It appears that you have duplicated this existing park:

Hi 1999Jeffster,

Welcome to OSM!

It seems like you've added a lot of silly, childish things to the map in your recent additions.

Please know that these changes have been removed.

OSM is a volunteer project that is used by a lot of different organizations including emergency services like the police and fire departments, as well as community organizations like charities.

Keep in mind that fictional mapping has no place here. If you'd like some help learning how to map correctly on OSM, please feel free to reach out :)

Hi Playerslayer019,

Welcome back to OSM.

Please note that we define parks in a particular way on OpenStreetMap. Private residential homes are not included in this definition.

You can read more on the OSM wiki, here: leisure=park

Hi Grace,

Welcome to OSM!

The majority of features you added in this changeset don't appear to exist in the real world. This includes The Country Cottage (r), Harrison Woods, Mahmoud Pond and Lee Park among others.

Are you able to explain what you were trying to do here?

102471391 over 4 years ago

Are you sure that there's a building here?
way/927109938

It looks like a grassy residential backyard.

It seems like you're using the iD editor. You can square up the buildings you're adding by pressing "q" or selecting the option to do so in the editor.

Hi Alison,

It seems that you accidentally dragged a node (https://osmcha.org/changesets/102471293) in Brown Street across several other roads.

I have moved it back to the correct location.

You would have received some warnings before you uploaded the changeset, it's normally a good idea to check those.
