| 71802949 | over 6 years ago | Also, sorry to pick on you but:
In OSM, natural=wood is normally defined in this way:
I'm not sure what this location is (maybe a saw mill? industrial=sawmill) but you might want to revise your tagging :) |
| 71802949 | over 6 years ago | Hi there, What is this park supposed to be?
|
| 71580382 | over 6 years ago | Hi Marc, Thank you for your fast reply. I understand where you are coming from here, and I agree the not: prefix for tourism=camp_site would probably be appropriate in these cases.and would better match the existing tagging scheme for camp sites. To use an example of a few rest areas near me, they are typically dotted with several "No Camping" signs, with one or two signs detailing the restrictions in more detail. These are typically coupled with parking limit signs of various times - one particular location near me has limits ranging from 15 minutes to 2 hours depending on what position you park in, but they do have spots for caravans within those time limits, so caravan=no might be a cause of confusion. Best, Wood |
| 71580382 | over 6 years ago | Hi, Thanks for your improvements around Australia. Looking at your adjustments to the camp_site tag on certain rest stops, though - many rest stops around Australia do not permit camping of any kind. This isn't limited to tents, parking a caravan or camper van in many rest stops for too long will invite a knock on the door from local council rangers or the police asking you to move along. I'm not sure if tents=no is a suitable replacement in these cases, as it really doesn't fully encompass the limitations on these locations. |
| 71765764 | over 6 years ago | Please don't add fake features like parks to OSM - the imagery for this area is quite current and you can clearly see that the houses are still present. |
| 71657676 | over 6 years ago | Hi, you have the South West corner of this park crossing railroad tracks and covering several homes - are you sure that's correct? |
| 71658623 | over 6 years ago | Hi! Thanks for your recent additions to OSM on the Coast. I hope I see more edits from you in the future :). Just so you're aware, I added access=private to the park in addition to the one you had on the pool. I'm familiar with this location and know that it's got a big "PRIVATE PROPERTY, NO TRESPASSING" sign right out the front (it's actually why I have avoided adding it in the past in favour of other edits - not that there's anything bad about you adding it). I hope that's okay :) |
| 71599758 | over 6 years ago | Wait, are you Harry or is Harry "a local Pokemon go player that takes the game pretty serious. If I had to guess I would say that was him." as per your message to me on the 13th? Are you both called Harry? |
| 71548644 | over 6 years ago | Hi and welcome to OSM. In your recent edit, you added a pair of parks over a residential property - you can even see the above ground pool and parking garage. Unfortunately, I've had to remove them because they are not accurate to what is on the ground. OSM is used and relied upon by many organizations all over the world and cannot accept fictional additions. Pretend edits are often found very quickly and removed. This is how OSM defines a park -
You might be able to find some real park locations close by that you can add to the map. If you need any help, please feel free to send me a message or reach out to your local mapping community :). |
| 71543367 | over 6 years ago | Please do not add fictional features to the map. |
| 71522116 | over 6 years ago | Hi there! Thanks for your contributions so far. I have a quick question though: What's this supposed to be? way/699147793 I'm not sure if the way you've mapped this area meets the OSM definition of a park on its own - leisure=park |
| 71450555 | over 6 years ago | Hi, Apologies for the late reply. There is already a park mapped around Lake Murray - relation/6006999#map=16/32.7878/-117.0465 As you say, it's part of the much larger Mission Trails Park, but the lake is also mapped. With those two mapped areas in mind, I'm not sure what this node contributes to the map in this area? |
| 71475693 | over 6 years ago | Also, I was just having a look at Darlington Parklands - do you know where the BBQ and drinking water are located it the park? It might be good to mark those locations. |
| 71475693 | over 6 years ago | Hi and welcome to OSM! Thanks for your edits so far. Just one hint though - when you're mapping areas like residential spaces and parks, try to avoid connecting them to the roads that run parallel to their boundaries, it makes the areas and roads difficult to maintain moving forward and sometimes things can be accidentally deleted or left behind by other mappers in the future. |
| 71450555 | over 6 years ago | Hi, Thanks for getting back to me. I can check to see if I can find a OSM-safe source for this park and add it as an area. Are you able to confirm its name and that park is the appropriate tag (leisure=park)? Is the park the space to the East of where the pin is currently located? |
| 71434092 | over 6 years ago | Hi there, Thanks for your recent edits. Just one thing I noticed here, you added oneway=yes to the roundabout on Thompsons Road - this isn't required. junction=roundabout implies oneway=yes, so the tag is redundant. Keep up good work :) |
| 71450555 | over 6 years ago | Hi there,
|
| 71461467 | over 6 years ago | Hi and welcome to OSM. Is there a reason why you removed the address interpolation tags located around Handles Peak Way? |
| 71431851 | over 6 years ago | The correct tag for a driveway is highway=service and service=driveway. Footway should be reserved for actual foot paths. |
| 71430841 | over 6 years ago | Hi there! Is leisure=park really the best tag for this?
Additionally, is the field actually named open field or is that a description of it? |
