| 72710791 | over 6 years ago | Hi! Welcome to OSM. Thanks for your additions to the map so far :) Just a couple of comments on your recent edits: 1) Your backyard isn't a park, OSM has a pretty well written page on parks and how they should be mapped, which you can read here: leisure=park?uselang=en 2) I've replaced the name tags on the trees you added with species and genus information based on what you added originally. The name tag should be reserved for names, so if a tree was called "Bill the Mighty" that would be a name, but there are better ways we can tag species and other similar information. |

| 72631759 | over 6 years ago | Hi! Thanks for your recent good additions to the map :) Just a couple of hints: 1) If a footway intersects a road or another footway and they touch in real life, they should join on the map as well. It's also good to connect the ends of paths to the road if they connect so that they can be used for routing. You can also designate the type of crossing at the connection point of roads and paths. 2) Parking aisles are used to show roads through parking lots, you normally should map parking lots as areas or points and then connect them to roads where possible rather than just having a floating parking aisle. |
| 72660471 | over 6 years ago | Howdy! This park looks like it might just be a grassy patch out the back of some kind of farmyard/mechanical/engineering place - do you have any more information on it? Who operates it? Is it open to the public? |
| 72635873 | over 6 years ago | Hi and welcome to OSM! Thanks for your recent contribution to the map! I see you're trying to add a walking track, which is great. However, at the moment you've added it as a park on a house... that's probably not what you intended to do! OSM has a specific definition of what a park is, you can find it here: leisure=park?uselang=en Typically paths are mapped as highway=footway, highway=path or an number of other tags. |
| 72492739 | over 6 years ago | Hi Jesse, Thanks for your recent additions to OSM. In this changeset you added Muddy Fork Farm - do you know what kind of farm it is? Does it only cover the area around the building or is it much larger? |
| 72477500 | over 6 years ago | Did you intend to add this park over Dilenbeck Drive and adjacent houses? Please only add real features to OSM. |
| 72465809 | over 6 years ago | Hi TdSTT, It looks like you've placed a church in an alleyway here. Do you have more information about what it is supposed to be? |
| 72228003 | over 6 years ago | Hi Jason, Thanks for your recent addition and welcome to OSM! I noticed you added an additional park over Croxton Station, Spencer Reserve and Stott Reserve - you may have missed them, but there are already two parks mapped at this location:
Were you trying to add something more specific? I might be able to help you or give some advice :-) |
| 72202440 | over 6 years ago | Hi, thanks for getting back to me. I made a few adjustments/enhancements to the location to show how I would map the area based on your original edits, the comment above and a little reading. The main changes I made are - adding the log cabin as a community centre:
I also added a gazebo and the historic water pump at the location that I could see in imagery and read about. Additionally, I split the name for the log cabin between a formal and local name (loc_name). The sources I could use were limited due to the requirements of OSM, so you might want to check what I've done and make any required changes for consistencies/accuracy's sake :). |
| 72162487 | over 6 years ago | Hi! Welcome to OSM and thanks for your recent additions! landuse=forest is typically used to represent managed forests (like state forests or those used for lumber production). As there is only a number of trees where you mapped them, it might be better to add them individually or use the tag landcover=trees on the area instead. |
| 72202440 | over 6 years ago | Hello!

| 72202550 | over 6 years ago | Hi and welcome to OSM! Thanks for your recent additions to the map. Just an observation on your recent edits though: you've applied landuse=grass and a number of other grass related tags (grass=grass?) to features that aren't simply grass, such as large residential areas and other features. Please try to keep your edits accurate and check the OSM wiki if you need guidance in how best to tag areas. OSM wiki - osm.wiki/Main_Page |
| 72027525 | over 6 years ago | Hi, This really isn't what the garden tag is intended for, see:
"Limit the detail of mapping private backyards. As a guideline, permanently installed private swimming pools, or some structure of a semi-public garden appear to be the borderline of being acceptable. Add access=private as appropriate." |
| 72018171 | over 6 years ago | Hi Aidan, What are you actually trying to add here? I can't see it on any imagery. |
| 72027915 | over 6 years ago | What are the tags leisure=grass and grass=leisure about? This is a residential block. |
| 72027194 | over 6 years ago | No, this entire residential block isn't a garden. What are you trying to add here? |
| 71805831 | over 6 years ago | Was this the feature you were trying to add? It's already on the map: way/667248104 |
| 71805860 | over 6 years ago | OSM is a public map, please don't add personal details such as who lives in a particular house. More information: osm.wiki/Limitations_on_mapping_private_information |
| 71805831 | over 6 years ago | I think you might have missed your target with this one. You put a park in the middle of the harbor! |
