Note This rail route no longer exists... some bits of the rail line may exist, as would some stations. But the route is gone.

This broke train route relation/3165393 PTv2. The liverpool stop has no role.

This broke the train route relation/3165393 PTv2. Do you know how to fix it?

The liverpool stops have no role. There should be only one liverpool stop for this route. The liverpool stop is not in sequential order...

I'm using 'landform' tag like landcover and landuse. So for things like cliffs peaks .. The 'natural' tag is used for both land forms and land covers .. and is use for both natural things and man effected things.. so to me the tag 'natural' does not make much sense.

Floodplains vs lakes.. like you said .. water remains in lakes .. so I think they are deeper than a floodplain. Lot of 'estimations' going on - we do the best we can. The landform tag has few uess so I am fairly confident that what it says is what it is rather than being a tag for the render. I have used it for dry swamps. The numbers tell me that most (90%?) 'natural=mud' in Australasia is dry swamp ...

I am trying to map the 'new' National Park area to the north - done tracks and water features - named creeks, reservoirs and bores and a few missing lakes (at least to the DCS Base Map).

Hi,

Should not the Glen Valley Reserve also incorporate the Glen Valley Road Flood Retarding Basin. The reserve would be a more frequent use of the area???

I have retagged the basin as a landuse=basin, basin=detention.

Hi,
Way: 319796961 tagged natural=water, I have added intermittent=yes. However I question if the tag natural=water is all that 'good'? The DCS Base Map shows 'Land subject to inundation' and I think that here is a flood plain ?? Yes, I know OSM does not have a tag for that yet.. but there is a proposal... Thoughts?

Hi,
Welcome to OSM...

I have made a minor improvement to the roundabout - way/414452307. By selecting it and pressing the keyboard letter 'O' it makes it a perfect circle. For 'square' buildings pressing the letter 'Q' will square them up.

Hi,Hiking routes are better mapped as relations - see route=hiking

They then render well on https://hiking.waymarkedtrails.org/#routelist?map=12.0/-30.0274/153.2387 - you can even get an elevation profile and gpx track.. These routes also show up on some phone apps - such as OSMand.

I have extended the relation - only gaps now where the water is deep?

I'm not seeing that as an allowed source in the Aust. Data Catalogue..???

Hi,
The relation/12950672 has Way: 1085307271 tagged as an inner .. but that has no outer around it.. that is an error. I am not familiar with it so I'll leave you to fix it.

133194337 almost 3 years ago

Other than imagery .. what evidence do you have that Way: 1150596619 is a wetland???

132860597 almost 3 years ago

Same error in relation/15518947 as in your past changeset changeset/131835596

You should fix these so as you don't continue to repeat the error.

133155781 almost 3 years ago

The changes you made with this changeset are already in OSM ..

See changeset/133155781

On the left section, if you scroll down, are the individual elements .. eg. building, paths etc .. you can click on these to see them. OSM is very powerful and quick to get new stuff up .. slower with changes to old stuff.

Note .. where a path enters a building there should be a node tagged entrance.. there are a number of other 'issues' e.g. the loop road .. a fragment exists by it self ... and the bit that goes out to the external road is probably a highway=service, service=driveway???

This has broken train route relations... only the 'up' routes..
Sydney XPT
North West Xplorer 244
Hunter Line from Scone
Hunter Line from Dungog

The 'down' routes look good. All the above fixed.

Hi,
Welcome to OSM!
Thanks for the initial contribution. Looks like Maxar imagery is more upto date than Bing in this area.
You certainly have taken the bull by the horns! A few hints? Keep it simple, Do small bits at a time - map the building by itself ... then separately map a footpath.. this makes it easier to follow what the warning are talking about as you will have less of them to understand.

Hi
Way: 1148772981 looks to me to be more landuse=commercial rather than landuse=residential???

132947305 almost 3 years ago

Hi,
Welcome to OSM!
Some hints?
Buildings are usually 'square' meaning their corners are right angles. When you make a 'square' building pressing the 'Q' key should 'square' up the building making it look better.
Bing imagery if fairly good.. but DCS imagery tends to have better accuracy and resolution.

Hi,
Error in relation 15526451
Way: 1149122465 cross itself - duplicated nodes... see https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=areas&lon=150.82254&lat=-33.88005&zoom=19&baselayer=Geofabrik%20Standard&overlays=duplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways%2Cduplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways

Ill leave this alone so you can see it.
