Changeset When Comment

Hi,
Welcome to OSM.

The change of way/674596553 from highway=construction to highway=footway left behind construction=footway. That is confusing .. is it still under construction as the tag construction=footway or has it been constructed and now finished as highway=footway suggests?

Hi,
relation/9578521 - grass ... the inner (way/679956716) touches the outer .. that is not allowed for multipolygons.

I would 'fix' it by making the 'inneri into another relation 2 separate ways. Then the grass relation can have 2 ways - bother outers, one of these ways would be shared between the 2 relations.

See https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=areas&lon=142.14572&lat=-34.13997&zoom=14&overlays=duplicate_node,single_node_in_way,duplicate_segment,way_in_multiple_rings,intersection,intersecting_segments,old_style_multipolygons for how I was altered to the issue.

Hummm...

way/173374039#map=16/53.9144/27.5320

Shakes head.

I am attempting to correct actions by a school child ... not certain why changeset. But will check the way is reverted back to before the schoolchild changes. Check done - all back to where it was over in the north west of this changeset.

I should have got that myself... missed it sorry.

Changes in Russia will be reverted.

Chain link fence in Randwick cemetery in incorrect - excludes some graves.
Map in Randwick cemetery is not in the the middle of road. Nor does it need an 'address' or a name.

Hi,

Welcome to OSM!

For the Leda Nature Reserve (or anything else)
Either have a way OR a relation but not both ...
The guide is
One feature .. one OSM entry.

Way: Leda Nature Reserve (499074506)

and
relation : Leda Nature Reserve (9172337)

should not both be in OSM to represent the same feature.

As the relation is not closed (dose not enclose an area) I'll delete it.

Keep mapping.

Multiploygon relation is not closed - it needs to be closed to from an area...

And you also have a simple way with the same tags as the relation...???

Chose one method only -

A simple closed way with the tags on it .. it needs to be closed to form an area and not to be combined with other ways (roads, parks, other suburbs).

OR

A relation - consisting of member ways that form a continuous loop to enclose the area. The member ways can be
roads, other suburban boundaries .. or any existing way in OSM. It can also include ways that have no other functuion in OSM.

Hi,

"Shed" is not a name for a 'shed' but a description. I have changed way/684898270 Tag "name"="shed" to "description"="shed".

A ridge comes to a sharp line that descends on both sides. A mountain range may not have this 'sharpness' to make it a single ridge along its entire length .. it may not contain any ridges at all. Without going there .. I cannot say .. but they are now ready for my use when I do get there.

Hi
This is not yet on LPI Imagery, nor on ERSI or bing or digital globe.
Back to proposed.

67528941 over 6 years ago

Hi,
1) Has construction of these roads been completed? It have tagged them as construction

2) When you change the tag *=proposed then remove the tag proposed=*. Same for *=construction - remove construction=*

69417588 over 6 years ago

Hi,
Where you change something from *=proposed the tag proposed=* should be removed to avoid confusion.

The relation/8360927 has it as a members

way/28108798 as outer
way/594795762 as outer
way/594795760 as outer

Way: 594795760 duplicates the relation tags.. it can be removed from the relation.

But the relation will still not be closed .. it does need to be closed.
--------------------------
I have removed Way: 594795760 from the relation.

Made a new way to close th erelation.

----------------------
However there looks to be a dog are on this to the south .. that should not over lap this sand area. Recommend the dog area be tagged surface=sand, ant that area removed from the relation for beach sand.

Why is the WOW Cruises jetty a relation?

A multipolygon relation is for an area.. this relation is not closed - so not an area.
I would make it 2 simple ways.

Hi,
way/685660004 has a duplicate node.

Trees do not start and end at National Park nor Conservation Area boundaries..

Map them as separate things!!!

Good Luck... when you find what works .. make a diary entry and comment on the poor guidance...

My error on the inner going outside the outer .. your right they simply share .. but that too is against the multipolygon rules .. which I find are not well documented either.

The buildings for the public school do not each carry the name of the school. Please remove the names on the buildings.

Hi,
On ways 684896076 and 684898268 there are duplicated nodes ...

I don't think building 'parts' are done as mutipoygons!

Multipolygon relation/9510873 has an 'inner that goes outside the 'outer' .. that is not possible by the multiploygon rules...

What I would do;
Delete the relation.

Tag the 'outer' way/685038229 building=yes, building:levels=6 (or whatever is the maximum).

Tag the 'inner' way/685332956 building:part=yes, building:levels=2 (or whatever is the number of levels it has).
