| 49763650 | almost 7 years ago | Hi,
Trig points are placed where they can be seen and used, that usually means some prominence. Because there is a higher place near by does not mean that the lower place has no name and the higher one does have a name. There is only ~100 meters height difference between the two. The names North Ramshead and South Ramshead may set the extent of the range of the Ramshead. Possibly contacting the Geographical Names Board may lead to a story behind these names. What research have you done? The Geographical Names Board presently state South Ramshead is at the lower height location. There are trig points shown on the topo map that have no name .. and are certainly high. So I discount the trig station theory. |
| 49763650 | almost 7 years ago | Hi,
Refer to NSW topo map. I have removed the name and left this peak where you placed it. The real South Rams Head has another entry now. |

| 66302464 | almost 7 years ago | Certainly. However to addition should not destroy what is already there.. unless that has been changed 'on the ground'. In JOSM you can make a blank layer - top left click on 'File' then click on 'New Layer'. Make your parking lots etc in there and you will not be using any old nodes, ways or relations. So it will be impossible to destroy any old stuff there. And the new stuff will be completely separate from the old stuff.

Might be worth while keeping an eye on

| 66180014 | about 7 years ago | Hi,
Some hints.
The school. As a node is the basic first step. Then it can become an area - that would surround the buildings and include parking, playgrounds, sports areas. Arrr but the school is already an area - includes the Primary School see way/514096660#map=17/-43.02413/147.04771. That could be edited to exclude the primary school and then make a new way for it. That is what I think. I'll leave it to you to contemplate. |
| 65539632 | about 7 years ago | Vicinity Centres...
But also tagged as an office? So what are is it?
OSM guide is one feature - one OSM entry.

| 65538774 | about 7 years ago | Still many problems here. Sean .. look at https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=areas&lon=115.74092&lat=-32.53596&zoom=16&opacity=0.82 Try to fix these problems.
For me and the others the simplest thing to do is delete the lot - leaving the shops. This won't change the map as the things that would be deleted are not rendering anyway. |
