Changeset When Comment

the latest imagery shows no such changes to the Locality/shore line so I was wondering what your source for this edit is since you reported non. Also even if it did update I would assume the geometry of the island its self also would though you haven't done that, so if this is real please update that. Also next time please give a better change set comment since "mm" is no very descriptive, for more information on this please see osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments.

next time can you please check if the POI's you add are already existent and if so modify the existent POI, so that duplicates are not created.

as a note the bus stop at MDC Kendall Campus is closed due to construction, I can testify to that because I walk passed it every other day for the last week.

can you please stop removing the transit shelters that I have mapped as ways since they are important to show exactly were the actual transit shelter is since the transit shelter may not be at the exact same location(to the side usually) as were the sign denoting the bus stop is.

as a clarification I'm not saying the commit is bad, this change seams to be good I was just trying to inform you which is the latest as a local mapper; so that next time you commit according to " latest Imagery" you can ensure you are using it. I understand were the misunderstanding comes from since Bing satellite imagery is relatively up to date but it is not the most up to date, this means that in some areas were construction is happening Bing won't be 100% correct. its also good practice to check with the latest imagery in areas you dont know to make sure that there are no major differences so that we keep OSM as up to date as possible.

just FYI the latest imagery in Miami Dade right now is the "Miami-Dade County Orthoimagery (Latest)"

please leave comments when committing describing what you did in the commit, like for this it could be something along with lines of: "added bakery". these dont have to be complicated or to wordy, they should just describe what was done generally.

last word got cut off, it was "large"

please clarify weather or not you used google data because if you did then the contributions made in this commit must be reverted since as mentioned before googles data is proprietary and since they haven't given us the right to use it we cannot especially since OSM is ODBL (osm.org/copyright)(https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Licence). If you do not respond soon, I will have to take this to the Data Working Group since this from the commit message implying the use of google data we cannot allow this to stay in the database. I feel I have tried to contact you as to solve this several times already.

what I have been trying to do is have one grass multipolygon for the whole highway intersection (Homestead Extension of Florida's Turnpike and Dolphin Expressway)

135247323 over 2 years ago

ok, I am confused now, why has the grass stopped rendering, I see no errors, for reference this is the multiplolygon in question(relation/15534560).

based on newer imagery (Miami-Dade County Orthoimagery (Latest))

Since you said you used google data for this this commit needs to be reverted, if you have local knowledge of the area then please feel free to use that for future commits but since you indicated that you used google maps data this commit cannot remain in OSM due to the above mentioned difference in license between OSM and Google.

if you can please restore the one along Southwest 117th Avenue, I'll fix the tagging and connect it to the Coral Reef Substation which is were it connects, it did not previously because I had added those segments as part of other commits but I always planned to come back and finish connecting those to surrounding infrastructure. (it connects to way/377519541)

134385172 over 2 years ago

Question, why did you remove the power lines along Southwest 117th Avenue, I am asking because I know from knowledge (as in I saw them on Thursday 3/30/2023) that they are were they had been mapped.

Same for the ones near Southwest 28th Street that were removed when I am pertain those are there since I added them with Go Map!! through survey. Those are the only ones that I can confirm from a cursory glance at the commit that are real. Yes both of those lines were not complete but that does mean that they should be removed since they are the on the ground truth.

We cannot use google data for our commits due to that data being proprietary to google and OSM not having the right to use it. Googles data is proprietary and OSM's data is ODBL which are not compatible.

As a note:
the latest imagery from what I can tell is the Miami-Dade County Orthoimagery (Latest).

Also there is still allot of work to be done in the area
