How long does it take to see the result of the changes
Posted by Thomas1950 on 9 June 2008 in English.Hi all I tried to insert the street I am living in (Belgium) but what I did yesterday evening is not visible in the view mode. However I can see the streets in the Edit mode.
Any tips, suggestions

The map is, I believe, updated on Thursdays so the changes should appear on or after Thursday. There is, I also believe, a way to speed up the changes but at this point I forget the process.

The default for the view is a layer called Mapnik. This only gets rendered (redrawn) once each week. On the right there is a blue tag with a + sign. Click this to change the base layer to Osmarender which gets rendered more often.
You can request a new render in Osmarender at http://www.informationfreeway.org/ To do this zoom to zoom level 12, move the red box over the area you want to render and press 'r'. The rendering process is under pressure and could take a few hours.
