We have kinda co-opted any existing place nodes to also label bounded localities. If the bounded locality goes away then the existing place node would just stay.

Looking at the GNB database it would appear that Berowra Creek was only a bounded locality name, so if you do want to keep the hamlet name I'd delete the source and reference tag and replace with source=survey.

It had been 9 months I figured it was time to check. CAPAD 2020 came out a couple of months ago, that's taking much more work to update.

Hi,

Welcome to OSM. Roads that appear in OSM do not have to be public. If you find roads on OSM that are not public you can label them as being private by adding an access tag. See this changeset/107730070 for an example.

Please don't delete other mapper's work just because it doesn't appear in an "official" database.

Thanks.

I have just driven up Copland Dr in the last hour. Yes they are building a roundabout. No the road is not closed.

This would suggest that tender documents are not a reliable source of information about road closures. If you are going to try and armchair road closures in Canberra would you please at least check https://www.cityservices.act.gov.au/roads-and-paths/act_public_road_closures first.

Thank you.

CC-BY 4.0 is not compatible with ODbL and needs a waiver from the rights holder see: https://blog.openstreetmap.org/2017/03/17/use-of-cc-by-data/

PTV has been asked but we haven't received a reply see: osm.wiki/Australian_data_catalogue#Victoria

You might be better taking this discussion onto the talk-au mailing list https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-au.

For starters we *don't* have permission to use PTV data in OSM yet.

Hi,

It would be helpful to other mappers if your changeset comments actually said what you did, rather than where they are.

For more hints have a read of osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments

Thanks.

You've mapped Copland Drive as being under construction. This means that it is closed to traffic.

I haven't seen anything in the news about Copland being closed and it's not listed on the City Services website.

Where did you get this information from?

Thanks.

Hi,

You asked for a review so here is mine. You should have read the import guidelines osm.wiki/Import/Guidelines before you started this. At the very least you should have announced your plan on the talk-au mail list before you started https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-au

Thanks.

I can't claim any special knowledge. I just split the Melbourne suburb at the Yarra on the assumption that posties would not be crossing back and forward to do deliveries.

Hi,

Something seems to have gone wrong with this import. There are duplicate building outlines sprinkled over the top of forest dams etc. For example way/781975077

Hi,

This changeset appears to have created a duplicate version (way/40407390) of Squaw Lake (relation/1638818). I don't know which version you would like to keep.

Thanks.

Lake Clarke is described as stretching to Columbia (https://pubs.usgs.gov/wri/1996/4048/report.pdf). I'm not sure if this definition would be considered good enough to use by local mappers.

OK, thanks for that. I'll make the opening hours the same.

Do you happen to know if BZ has merged with Lucky Shot? They seem to only have one Facebook listing (https://www.facebook.com/LuckyShotBZBurgers/about).

I was trying to fix the opening hours on Lucky Shot, but not much point if it's gone.

Kippax is just a bit too far away for me to check in person.

<cough>Street View</cough> shows that these new paths don't have cycle signs, but they seem to be designed for cycling.

No worries. Relations are sometimes tricky to deal with in iD.

Wrong changeset, try again...or better still just fix it yourself.

Fixed in changeset #102857323

Hi,

Post codes only need to be mapped once. In this area they are mapped using postal_code boundaries (https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/15SH).

Thanks.
