Artarmon Station is already marked. If you look at the map now, you will see that there is an "Artarmon" and an "Artarmon Station". The convention we seem to be using in this area is to not bother with the "Station" part of the name. I'll leave it for you to fix up, I don't want to ruin the fun :)

The existing node is one of the nodes on the rail line, this is better for things like routing (so a computer program will know how a train actually gets to the station).

It is often handy to go to the main slippy map, zoom in and then turn on the data layer to see what is going on. It updates instantly too.

Artarmon is looking very nice though :)

how did you find this?

I'm the same as JeffB. If someone writes a post in German, then I'll also see how well I go at translating it (not very). If they post in German and English then I study it for a bit :)

Google Street View

The streetview cars don't seem to be used for correcting the map data, so when they drive over missing streets or whatever, their map stays busted.

Software

and then as soon as you get a job and have enough to buy one, you won't have the time :)

Life is funny like that sometimes.

Software

You might enjoy finding a nokia n810. They run a debian derived distro and have a gps and wifi. The wifi driver is ok (you can put it into monitor mode, but you can't inject packets) and the gps is also ok (previously had incredibly long lock times, now has so-so lock times).

But the battery life is excellent (my one has an estimated time remaining of 7 hours in use or 10 days of idling) and there are very hackable.

Walking Tracks

Also, from these map coordinates, switch to Osmarender and go north a few screens (at maximum zoom), there is some monsterous symbol there messing up the rendering. I can't quite work out what it is, possibly a bus or something like that... but about the size of a suburb.
